PostsIf you were a fan of 2009 Modern Warfare 2’s UMP-45, the Striker will be a very similar and nostalgic pick. It is a well-balanced SMG that can be built to handle quick, up-close combat or smooth medium-range gunfights, making it great for multiple gameplay styles.
Striker Build
If you are looking for an accurate striker that you can use at a medium range, this build will give you the reliability that you are hoping for. Right off the bat, the striker hits hard up close, so this build will focus on reigning in some of the recoil and handling aspects that the base model has.

CloseA clean choice that you will be familiar with early on is the Cronen Mini Dot. However, if that one is too bulky for your preferences, the MK. 3 Reflector might be more up your alley for a less obstructive experience.
Loadout Recommendations
CloseWhen you are running an SMG class, you typically want to move quickly and get in close, taking down everything that moves. For this reason, you will want to build a loadout that helps you move quickly and reload with ease.

Effects
Vest: Infantry Vest
- + Increased tac sprint
- + Reduced refresh time for tac sprint
- + If running sneakers are equipped, gain lightweight boots effects
Gloves: Commando Gloves
- + Reload while sprinting
Boots: Running Sneakers
- + Increased tac sprint
- + Reduced refresh time for tac sprint
- + If infantry vest is equipped, gain lightweight boots effects
- + Increased movement and swim speed
- + Reduced noise while swimming
Gear: EOD Padding
- + Reduced damage from explosives and fire that are not caused by killstreaks
Take advantage of the combined effects that you can get if you wear the infantry vest and running sneakers. This combo will throw in the increased movement speed that you would get from the lightweight boots.
The commando gloves will let you reload while sprinting, adding to the typical SMG player's run-and-gun motto.
While the gear will primarily be up to personal preference, EOD Padding will help make up for the number of grenades being thrown at you while you navigate gunfights in the center of the map. Combine that with the stim and a quick throwing knife or thermite, and you will be a force to be reckoned with.
