A lot of players are interested in this character, but there is a big question about how she will fit into the meta and whether her addition will add any value to an account. If you're interested in the character but confused about whether to pull for her, this guide will help clear all your doubts.

All the information provided in this article is based on the information that was provided in the version 5.6 livestream. No leaked information has been used to describe Escoffier and her kit.

Should You Pull For Escoffier

Escoffier is a 5-star Polearm Cryo unit that can function both as a debuffer as well as a healer. She is designed to enhance the damage output of Freeze teams, where the more Hydro and Cryo characters you have in her team, the better Escoffier performs.

Freeze hasn't been a meta reaction for quite a while, especially because most of the bosses in the game cannot be frozen, which makes up for most of the endgame. Escoffier's specialty is that, even though she is meant for Freeze teams, her damage amplification works on unfrozen enemies as well.

Escoffier's Unique Traits And Skills

Escoffier's primary value comes from her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst that can reduce the Hydro and Cryo RES of enemies whenever the aforementioned abilities hit a target. The scale of the RES shred will depend on the number of Hydro and Cryo characters present in the team.

However, the RES shred will work even if enemies are unfrozen, which means she will enable her team to deal consistent damage. She can also apply Cryo consistently through her Elemental Skill, where she summons a small turret that will attack targets as long as it is active.

The addition of Escoffier enables characters like Ayaka, Wriothesley, and Shenhe, who haven't been able to shine when compared to other top-tier units like Neuvillette, Mavuika, Arlecchino, and others.

Her Elemental Burst is also quite valuable, since it can provide party-wide healing, which increases the survivability of Freeze teams quite a bit. Up until version 5.6, Kokomi was a must-have for Freeze teams due to a lack of a second healer who could synergize with the reaction.

Escoffier will solve that problem and open up a lot of team options for the players.

Pull For Who You Like

While Escoffier is a strong unit who will enable Freeze teams, she doesn't change the meta by any means. If you have Mavuika in your account, you're quite set in terms of damage, as Escoffier might make some units viable once again, but she isn't a must-have by any means.

Additionally, Navia, Raiden Shogun, and Kinich are receiving reruns alongside Escoffier, who are incredible units even in the current meta. If you're looking to pick up Raiden Shogun constellation two, or a copy of someone else, that will also be a pretty good choice.
