You can use various resources to further your cult's goals in Cult of the Lamb, with the Sins of the Flesh DLC adding fashion to those pursuits. With the new Cotton plants, you have the option to dress your followers in special garb once you've gathered all the required materials and met the right people.

Getting cotton is the easy part, but using it to craft clothes might be a little more frustrating. You'll need to unlock the fourth area and then explore it, which can be confusing since Cult of the Lamb doesn't tell you how to unlock it beforehand.

How To Find Cotton

Choosing The Right Path

Once you've updated the game to the Sins of the Flesh update version or beyond, you'll begin seeing the Cotton plant nodes that appear on your Journey maps.

Like other plants, you can see the nodes before choosing paths on the map.

When you arrive at a Cotton node, you'll simply walk up to the plants and press the prompted button to harvest them.

You should get plenty from the two bunches of Cotton plants, but you won't be able to start using them until you get through Anchordeep and defeat its Bishop, Kallamar.

As with other plants, you should also receive Cotton seeds when you harvest for the first time.

Take these back and plant them, or place them in seed storage to have your followers harvest the resource.

How To Use Cotton

Start With A Tailor Station

You won't be able to use the Cotton until you've unlocked the Tailor station for your cult's base. You can't do that until you enter the fourth area, the Silk Cradle, and meet Berith in one of the question mark nodes in that biome.

Once you meet them, you'll unlock the Tailor station. You will need to unlock it from your main totem using Divine Inspiration.

Once you unlock the building recipe, you'll need eight Gold Bars and 16 Spider Silk.

You can make Gold Bars with a Refinery, and Spider Silk can be found in the Silk Cradle by destroying small nests.

Most clothes require Cotton as a base, with additional resources needed depending on which recipe you want to create. Some additional resources for the starter clothes include things like Gold, Follower Meat, or more Spider Silk.

You can also scroll to the middle to customize or to the far right menu and assign clothes you've made to specific followers.

To get new clothing recipes, you'll need to find Berith again during your journey. They'll provide you with new clothing recipes that you can then craft back at your base.

Some secret recipes can also spawn when you do events or meet other requirements. For example, marrying enough followers will give you access to special event-themed clothing recipes.
