The Borderlands Movie's Blu-ray Is Already Up For Pre-Order On Amazon

Summary
- Amazon already has the Blu-ray and DVD versions of the Borderlands movie available for pre-order.
- There isn't yet a release date for the home releases, so it's unclear when the move will arrive if you place an order.
- Amazon is offering an exclusive steelbook with the 4K version of the film.
The Borderlands movie hasn't had the critical reception or made the amount of money that the people behind it would've hoped for. When reviews went live, many people on social media started to point out that it had a zero percent score on Rotten Tomatoes—the number has increased a little since. Then, after a very underwhelming opening weekend, the movie got branded a flop.
So, the future doesn't look particularly bright for this adaptation of the much more beloved Borderlands games. However, not all hope is lost for the movie. Perhaps the home release will do well and allow the film to recoup some of the millions it took to make the flick in the first place. That attempt has already begun, as the Blu-ray version of the movie is available to pre-order at Amazon.

Posts 1There isn't yet a release date for the home releases, so Amazon hasn't listed when you'll get your copy of the movie. Yet, there are a few different versions you can pre-order. You can get the Blu-Ray, DVD, and digital combination for $40 or the 4K, Blu-Ray, and digital combo for $43. Alternatively, you can order the Amazon Exclusive Steelbook 4K version for $35 or the standard DVD for $27. So, Amazon has given you plenty of different options if you want to purchase the film.

Borderlands Blu-Ray
The Borderlands movie tells the story of a group of misfits trying to protect an important girl from ending up in the wrong hands. It contains an all-star cast and is available on Blu-ray and DVD.
$43 at Amazon (4K, Blu-ray, and Digital) $40 at Amazon (Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital) $35 at Amazon (4K Steelbook) $27 at Amazon (DVD) Expand CollapseThe film's narrative isn't an exact adaptation of any of the tales told in the games, yet it's a similar sort of story. After all, it includes several of the same characters, such as Lilith, Roland, and Tiny Tina. Plus, there is a Vault involved, and much of the tales take place on the planet of Pandora. One of the biggest differences is that the well-known cast of characters is played by even more well-known actors, such as Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, and Jaime Lee Curtis.
The impressive cast couldn't overcome the bad reviews to achieve better Box Office numbers. However, the makers of the movie will be hoping that the famous faces will help them achieve good home release sales. The fact the Blu-ray is already available for pre-order shows they're committed to selling plenty of them. It certainly gives people a chance to check the movie out for themselves and form their own opinions from the comfort of their own homes. Yet, it's unlikely that anything will be able to change the legacy of the movie completely.
