After a long journey of exploring and trial-and-error, you've finally reached the Antechamber in Blue Prince. And yet, before you is a sealed white door with no visible way to open. Trying doors from other sides of the room gives you the same result. That’s because before entering the Antechamber, you need to locate a series of levers and solve specific puzzles first.

Posts 1In this guide, you’ll learn all the ways to access the Antechamber: How to find and activate the levers for the west, east, and south doors, and how to solve the puzzles that stand between you and what lies beyond.
Why You Need To Open The Antechamber
The Antechamber is the first major objective in Blue Prince. Once you unlock it, you’ll find a note with a clue about your next destination, along with the Basement Key. This marks the start of your journey into the Underground zone. You can get there either by:
- Using the Foundation’s lift
- Using the blue flames lift to reach the Precipice
- Using the fountain entrance
- Using the Tomb entrance
- Using the Cliffside Entrance
Leave the Basement Key at the Coat Check and take it on your next run. That way, you can head straight Underground and have more Steps, keys, and gems to explore freely.
How To Open The Antechamber
To open the Antechamber in Blue Prince, you’ll need to pull the lever from one of these four rooms:
- The Great Hall
- The Greenhouse
- The Secret Garden
- The Weight Room
But don’t expect to just walk in and flip a switch. Each room requires a bit of exploration and problem-solving. Let’s take a look.
The Great Hall: East Door
The lever in the Great Hall unlocks the Antechamber's right door, which is on the map's East side. The Great Hall always has seven locked doors. Four of them lead to other rooms, while the rest open into dead ends. Besides the lever needed to unlock the Antechamber, this area also hides an Upgrade Disk, a valuable item that lets you permanently upgrade a random room in the manor using any computer.
Since all seven doors are locked, make sure to bring seven keys if you plan to open everything. After all, there’s no way to know which door hides the East lever. A Lockpick can save you some keys during the process, so it’s worth bringing one along. Alternatively, drafting the Foyer gives you a huge advantage by unlocking all rooms in hallways automatically.
The Greenhouse: South Door
The lever in the Greenhouse unlocks the Antechamber's front door, which is on the map's South side. The Greenhouse is the most complicated route to unlock the Antechamber’s door. Unless you get extremely lucky by finding the Broken Lever early and drafting the Greenhouse in the same run, this path is not recommended if your goal is to reach the Antechamber.
You can find some Dig Spots and a Music Sheet here, which is a part of the Music Sheet puzzle.
Unlike the other rooms, the Greenhouse lever is missing. You’ll first need to locate the Broken Lever and attach it to the incomplete base inside the Greenhouse before you can activate anything. Here are some locations where you may find the Broken Lever:
- Attic
- Dig Spots around the manor
- Security
- Spare Room
- Weight Room
- The Workshop
You can solve the Greenhouse lever problem more easily by storing the Broken Lever at the Coat Check, so it’s ready when you need it. You can also draft the Root Cellar as your Outer Room so you’ll have more Dig Spots to find the Broken Lever.
The Secret Garden: East And West Doors
The Secret Garden is the best way to get to the Antechamber since it can open two doors at once. The Secret Garden lever unlocks the left door of the Antechamber on the west side of the map. And if you’re carrying the Power Hammer, you can unlock the East door as well. Other than the lever, you’ll also be able to uncover some interesting things from the Dig Spots here.
To create a Power Hammer, head to the Workshop and combine the Sledgehammer, Battery Pack, and Broken Lever.
How To Enter The Secret Garden
To access The Secret Garden, you’ll first need The Secret Garden Key, which is a green one marked with a flower on top. You can find The Secret Garden Key by:
- Solving the puzzle in the Billiards Room
- Buying it from the Locksmith
- Searching the Music Room, Closet, Walk-In Closet, or Attic
- Digging it up from Dig Spots
Keep in mind that The Secret Garden can only appear on the east or west edges of the manor. So, when you see a locked door on these sides, use the Secret Garden key to unlock it to turn it into your needed location.
How To Find The Secret Garden Lever
CloseWhen you enter the Secret Garden, you’ll spot a fountain with a weathervane on top. On either side of the fountain are two wheels. These control the direction of the weathervane arrows. To reveal the first lever, rotate the arrows so they all point toward the statue. Once aligned, the lever will appear. Pull it to unlock the west door of the Antechamber.
If you're carrying the Power Hammer, check the wall to the right of the fountain. You’ll see a section you can break. Behind it is the third wheel. Turn all the arrows to face East, and a second lever will appear. Pulling this lever opens the East door of the Antechamber.
The Weight Room: South Door
Entering the Weight Room for the first time cuts your remaining steps in half.
To access the Antechamber lever in the Weight Room, make sure you have the Power Hammer with you. Look for the red punching bag hanging in front of a brick wall. Smash the wall. Behind it, you’ll find a red note, a map tucked under a crate, and most importantly, a lever on the wall next to the crates. Pulling this lever will unlock the South door of the Antechamber.
