Bloodborne Fans Are Starting To Give Up Hope For A Remaster

Summary
- Bloodborne's 10th anniversary is rapidly approaching, though not many fans seem to think that PlayStation will mark the occasion.
- In a recent thread on ResetEra, the vast majority of fans think that the game's anniversary will come and go with barely a peep from PlayStation.
- In fact, only a handful of people think PlayStation will use the opportunity to announce a remaster/remake, as it seems many are starting to lose hope.
Bloodborne is approaching its 10th birthday. That makes me feel sickeningly old, but it's a big occasion for what is still one of PlayStation's best ever games. Despite being arguably the best thing PlayStation has ever published besides Astro Bot, the company has done very little to acknowledge the game's success in recent years, even going so far as to leave the game off of "best of" social media competitions.
Bloodborne's 10th anniversary on March 24, 2025 would be the perfect time for PlayStation to finally give the title some love, maybe with a remaster or PC port announcement, but fans of the game are expecting the company to remain silent once again. In a recent thread on ResetEra, Bloodborne fans were asked to vote on whether they believe PlayStation will do something for the game's big day.

It's not even a decade old.
Posts 6Unsurprisingly, after years of hope and waiting, the mood in the thread is pretty doom and gloom. After almost 900 votes, a whopping 85 percent of them think Bloodborne's 10th anniversary will come and go with barely a peep from PlayStation itself, with only just shy of 15 percent of people thinking the company will mark the occasion with a remaster or remake announcement.
Bloodborne Fans Already Given Up Remaster Hopes Ahead Of 10th Anniversary
The actual replies from people paint a similar picture, as there appears to be a general sense of pessimism among fans. For example, a user called fontguy says that they expect "a silence so maddening it will grant us eyes," while another user called Gavalanche is a lot more blunt, stating that PlayStation don't care about anniversaries and that "They just aren't doing it."
To add to the misery of Bloodborne's missing remaster, we also recently had a Horizon Zero Dawn remaster leak, along with the news that another PlayStation remaster may be announced during this month's highly rumored State of Play. It seems as though everything bar Bloodborne is getting a remaster these days, so maybe that alone is enough to give people the tiniest shred of hope.
