Summary
- Video games like Blitz: The League 2 showcase violent hits and injuries through X-ray animations.
- Tenchu: Wrath of the Dragon uses X-rays to depict brutal kills with necks being broken and hearts ripped out.
- Sniper Elite: Resistance features detailed X-ray kill cams showing organs and bones being destroyed by accurate shots.
Many video games allow and encourage you to attack a bunch of enemies. In the process, you likely kill or knock them out. The fact that they're no longer able to fight back is a good indication that you've done plenty of damage. However, it's always nice to see exactly what sort of punishment you've dished out.

While these video game enemies don't damage you, their mischief can still cause chaos.
PostsSome games allow this by including an X-ray feature that lets you see your victim's bones and, sometimes, organs react to your attacks. It always makes for a cool visual and makes your hits all the most satisfying. Unfortunately, though, it's not a feature that is in every game. However, it is in the following ones.

However, in Blitz: The League, it's impossible to ignore how violent the sport can be. In fact, the game makes it seem even more violent.
One of the best ways it does this is through the use of X-rays. Sometimes, when someone is hit with a big tackle, the game cuts to an X-ray, showing the damage being done. You can see shoulders getting separated, necks being sprained, and even damage to the brain.

Stealth Action Fantasy Martial Arts Systems Released March 4, 2003 ESRB M // Blood and Gore, Violence Publisher(s) Activision, FromSoftware Multiplayer Local MultiplayerWHERE TO PLAY
PHYSICALTenchu: Wrath of the Dragon is a stealth game where you can play as a ninja. However, there is also another playable character who isn't a ninja. Instead, he is an assassin named Tesshu.
Since he's not a ninja, his fighting style is a little different. It's a bit less slick and more brutal. The game showcases this by including X-rays when you stealth kill someone to show you the damage being done. You sometimes see necks get broken, and legs get snapped. The most brutal of all, though, is when you see Tesshu's hands on the X-ray as they grab their victim's heart before ripping it out.

Zombies being in video games is almost as old as the gaming industry itself, and here we look at the best games with the living dead in them.
PostsThis is because it's a third-person sniper game where you occasionally fire shots that are so impressive that you get a slow-mo shot of the bullet ripping through the target's body. Sometimes, they break bones, while other times, the bullet destroys an organ. It gives you a bit more insight into what sort of damage you're doing to these undead creatures.

PHYSICALDeath by Degrees is an action-adventure spin-off of the Tekken series, and it stars Nina Williams. While she isn't often presented as the strongest character in the Tekken series, she proves to be a lot stronger than regular combatants in Death by Degrees as she fights groups of enemies at once.
In the process, she uses her martial arts to dislocate and possibly break the bones of her foes. As the break occurs, you get to see a clear X-ray of what is happening.

DIGITALDying Light is set in a post-apocalyptic world where you must use your parkour skills to get around the large zombie hordes. Yet, climbing or running away isn't always possible. Occasionally, you need to stand your ground and fight using an array of melee weapons.
When swinging them, you sometimes land a more powerful strike, which is when the X-ray vision appears. It's different in this game from many other titles because it doesn't cut to a scene showing the X-ray. Instead, the X-ray just appears on the zombie's body at the time of the impact. This means the gameplay doesn't stop to show you what damage is happening; it just slows down for a second.

Not only is that damage shown on the health bar, but the animation clearly shows how painful it is. Each one includes the fighter shattering their opponent's bones or organs. Somehow, the fighters are often able to carry on afterward.

SUBSCRIPTIONWhen you think of X-rays in video games, Sniper Elite is likely one of the first series to come to mind. After all, X-ray kill cams are a huge part of this series. So, they, of course, feature in Sniper Elite: Resistance.
Like the previous instalments, when you fire a shot at an enemy, you will sometimes get a slow-motion kill cam that shows what the bullet you fired does to the person it hits. It's common to see eyes obliterated, lungs destroyed, and testicles burst all because of your accurate shooting. The fact that the skeleton you see is so detailed in this game makes X-ray shots all the more satisfying.
