The game is really dynamic and customizable. Cove and the other characters grow up alongside you, impacted by your words and personality. At each stage of aging, you get to completely customize your character, including appearance, gender, and pronouns. If the kid in your life is a fan of the game, there are even DLCs that provide fully-voiced dialogue and names.

It includes some serious themes, which is why we recommend it for older kids, but it should help them healthily explore these concepts.
