Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden - Which Oath Should You Pick?

There is a deep story in Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden, involving the curse in New Eden, the Nightmare encountered in the early hours of the game, and the fate of Antea Duarte, your loved one. Though it may not all make sense initially, Antea is now a ghost, a fate she used to despise as a banisher.

PostsAfter completing your first Haunting case in the game, Red will have to make a decision that will bring closure to that case. However, this won't be the only decision he will have to make. Soon after, he will need to swear an oath to Antea before they can proceed.
Oath Options, Explained
After the short discussion between Red and Antea, depending on the choice you made in the Flesh is Weak Haunting case, you will get a prompt that will ask you which oath Red will swear to Antea to choose her fate, and the choices you have are Ascend or Resurrection.
The Ascend Oath
The Ascend Oath is where you will part away from your loved one, Antea, and peacefully let her leave this world after you retrieve her body from the meetinghouse in New Eden Town.
This means that you should be free to choose between either Banish or Ascend when bringing closure.
The Resurrection Oath
On the other hand, the Resurrection Oath is where you will fight for Antea and try to bring her back to life. In order to fulfill this oath, you must choose to Blame as many settlers as possible for this ritual to succeed.
This means sacrifices will be made, and people will die in order to feed her the essence she needs for the ritual to work.
The choices you make when you bring closure will impact how you fulfill the promise Red will make to Antea.
Keep in mind that you remain free to make any choice, no matter what oath you take, but there will be consequences.
Which Oath Should You Pick?
There is no right or wrong oath to make, only the one that you feel these two lovers deserve, despite the unfortunate time they had at the meetinghouse.
Whether you want to bring Antea back to life and abandon your work as a Banisher or just let these two part ways like any other ghost will be your decision.
This will dramatically shape the story and, ultimately, the ending you will get, so give it some thought before you choose.
