How To Run A Food Stand In Bandle Tale

The Food Stand mechanic is one that players will get to learn about fairly early in the game. Running a Food Stand is essential to the progression of the storyline, prompted by Corki. However, this quest will involve interacting with a variety of Yordles located around Yarnville, allowing you to learn significant skills and abilities for later on in the game.

When you host your very first Food Stand, you’ll be able to collect many of the ingredients and materials needed from around the floating island. But, before you can submerge yourself in the culinary arts, you’ll need to build your kitchen. Thankfully, as you’re learning the ropes, you’ll be able to use Winstock’s kitchen.

After you learn the main steps to creating and serving a dish, you’ll be on your way with only Dev to help you.

To host your first Food Stand, you’ll need to unroll the right Carpet at your Backpack. Then, using the outdoor crafting bench, you’ll need to construct:

  • A Chef's Oven
  • Heat Conductor
  • Chopping Table

The main counter will be provided as a part of the Carpet, and you’ll be able to place Dev.

You can discard any crafted dishes by using Dev.

Before you can begin to host your Food Stand, there are several requirements you must meet. You will need to meet these requirements every time in order to begin this event. You must have:

  • Two or more dishes selected to serve.
  • At least four orders from nearby Yordles.
  • Workbenches prepared.

Once you meet all of these requirements, you are free to host your Food Stand! Because this can be a quick event, one of the best ways to ensure that you can supply the demand for homemade food is by activating your Heat Conductor before beginning the Food Stand.

Once you host a Food Stand, whether you or successful or not, you will need to wait before hosting another one.

This is because it can take some time before the other Yordles are ready to order again.

To host a successful Food Stand in Bandle Tale, you’ll need to ensure that you can complete every order presented during the time frame without any failed orders. As each Yordle places their order, you’ll have a short period of time to prepare this meal and serve it to them.

Because of this, one of the best ways to be successful is to ensure that you have all of your ingredients and materials beforehand. This means having your plates crafted and your Heat Conducted powered up using a Firefly Bulb.

A single Firefly Bulb can provide Heat I Aura for two and a half minutes. This should be enough for most early-on, shorter Food Stands, but you may need additional time later on.

Time management is one of the most important skills to have when trying to host a successful Food Stand. You’ll need to be able to prioritize meals depending on how long your Yordle patrons have been waiting.

Thankfully, you can swap which meal is in the Heat Conducter by interacting with it while a dish is in your hand. This allows for an uncooked dish to be heated up while you serve a finished meal.
