When you create your character in Baldur's Gate 3, you'll need to pick a background for them. This is your character's backstory, and different choices you make may inspire you depending on your chosen background. This is incredibly powerful because inspiration allows you to re-roll a d20 if you roll a failure. One of the backgrounds you can choose from is urchin.

That being said,gaining inspiration as an urchin has a lot to do with helping out the oppressed folks of Faerûn and passing Dexterity skill checks. You’ll find several opportunities to do these throughout your journey.
The Urchin Background, Explained
Urchins are described as people with street smarts thanks to a difficult past. This means that this background enjoys proficiency in Sleight of Hand and Stealth. That being said, much of what inspires urchins have to do with getting away with snatching things off of people and helping kindred spirits.
Act One Sources Of Urchin Inspiration
Much of the opportunities to get inspired as an urchin in Act One occur in the Druid Grove. In general, siding with the tiefling children will inspire an urchin because of their past. Other inspiring events involve using Sleight of Hand or Deception.

How To Get It
Artful Dodger
Earn Mattis' respect by taking his ring.
When you meet Mattis in the Druid Grove, you need mimic his coin trick successfully by passing a Sleight of Hand check. At the end of your conversation, make sure to return his ring to be inspired.
Born Innocent
Save the owlbear cub from the goblins.
Rescue the owlbear cub from the Chicken Chasin' game in the Goblin Camp.
Family Comes First
Encourage Meli to tell the truth about the amulet.
In the Druid Grove, get involved in the argument between Meli and Barth. When prompted, tell Meli to listen to Barth. Afterwards, succeed a Persuasion attempt in getting Meli to confess why he took the ring. After succeeding the Persuasion, press for an answer as to why he stole the ring.
Hero For Hire
Get some coin out of the Zhentarim survivors.
On the Risen Road, aid the zhentarim facing off a horde of gnolls. You'll need to offer assistance for a price before fighting the gnolls in order to receive inspiration.
Hunger Never Fades
Fill your plate at Raphael's House of Hope.
When you meet Raphael for the first time choose to take food from the table when prompted.
Idolatry
Help Mol steal the Idol of Silvanus.
Steal the Idol of Silvanus found in the Druid Grove and hand it over to Mol. WARNING: This will trigger an attack on the tieflings by the druids.
Not On My Watch
Save Arabella from Kagha and her serpent.
Convince Kagha to let Arabella go when prompted.
Paying It Forward
Give Mol money to found a guild in Baldur's Gate.
Talk to Mol in the Tiefling Hideout in Druid Grove. Ask her about the cons they're doing, then offer to invest in their venture.
Protect Your Own
Protect the child who took the locket from Barth.
Intervene in the altercation between Meli and Barth in the Druid Grove. When given the option, defend Meli from Barth using Persuasion or Intimidation.
Pyramid Scheme
Convince the ogres to work for you without giving them gold.
In the Blighted Village, tell Lump the Enlightened to fight for you instead of the goblins. Then, succeed the Charisma check for the dialogue option that doesn't involve offering them gold.
Slaying The Piper
Rescue Mirkon from the harpies.
Save Mirkon from the harpies in the Investigate the Beach quest.
What Price Dignity?
Steal the toe ring from Crusher without getting caught.
Choose to kiss Crusher's foot, then succeed the Dexterity check to slide the ring off his toe.
You Can't Take It With You
Loot the dead gnomes in Grymforge before their corpses are thrown into the river.
At the Grymforge entrance, intervene with the duergar throwing dead gnomes into the river. Ask them if they've looted them properly, then perform a successful Sleight of Hand to swipe off a ring from one of the corpses.
Act Two Sources Of Urchin Inspiration
More opportunities to earn inspiration as an urchin can be found throughout Act Two. Generally, siding against the Absolute will inspire urchins.

Betray Balthazar.
Choose to side against Balthazar in Nightsong's Prison.
Strength in Cowardice
Convince the orthon to spare you, for now...
Help Yurgir escape his contract with Raphael by killing the last Dark Justiciar in the Gauntlet of Shar.
Wary of Strangers
Refuse to drink the spiked wine.
Decline to drink the wine that Jaheira offers in Last Light Inn.
Will Not Be Forgotten
Escape the Oubliette.
Climb out of the Oubliette underneath the Moonrise Towers Prison using a cragged rock.
