This game allows you to explore vast maps and train dinosaurs and other creatures to fulfill your every whim.

While the base game may offer tons of fun, sometimes, you just want to experiment with cheat codes. Here, we are going to take a look at the best cheat codes that you can use in a single-player game of Ark: Survival Evolved. Cheats can be used on Playstation, Xbox, and PC, but keep in mind that the mobile version doesn't have this capability.

Updated September 19, 2023 by Jacqueline Zalace: We've added even more cheat codes that work great in a single-player game of Ark: Survival Evolved. Now, you can find cheats for pretty much any situation.

How To Enter Cheat Codes

To enter a cheat code, you will need to do the following, based on the system that you are playing on.

System

What To Do

PC

Press Tab

Xbox

Simultaneously press LB, RB, X, and Y

PS4

While in the pause menu, simultaneously press L1, R1, Square, and Triangle

Once you have done this, a box will pop up on your screen, and you will need to type in the command 'enblecheats' so the codes you enter will work.

To check if cheats can be used, type "setcheatplayer true" into the popup box. If cheats are enabled, then this will cause a bunch of information to appear on your screen.

By changing this command to "false", the information will disappear, but cheats can still be used.

GiveDinoSet

via Argentavis/Steam
  • GiveDinoSet

GiveDinoSet is a cheat that will make it so you automatically have a ride to your next destination. It will spawn a set of dinos with saddles, and you can choose which one spawns, as well as a specific number.

The tier refers to the dinosaur that you want; below, you can check out each available tier.

Next, you just need to enter the quantity that you want. For example, if you want five Flyers, you will enter the following code.

  • GiveDinoSet Flyers 5

GiveItem & GiveResources

via Manoz/Steam
  • GiveItem
  • GiveResources

If you don’t feel like finding an item or resource then you can use these cheats to help you out. If you use the GiveResources cheat it will give you 50 of every resource available to you in the game.

Those who use the GiveItem cheat will receive any item that they specify on the command line, meaning you can arm yourself with weapons or give yourself specific building pieces as needed.

Below, you can check out an example of how to fill this cheat out if you want one low-quality Tek Shield.

  • cheat GiveItem "Blueprint'/Game/PrimalEarth/CoreBlueprints/Items/Armor/Shields/PrimalItemArmor_ShieldTek.PrimalItemArmor_ShieldTek'" 1 1 0

If you type '0' at the end, you will just gain the item, but if you type '1', you will receive the blueprint. There are a lot of items with complex item IDs, so we suggest heading to the wiki, where every item ID has been listed.

GiveEngrams & GiveEngramsTekOnly

  • GiveEngrams
  • GiveEngramsTekOnly

It can take time to unlock all of the Engrams in the game, which is why these two cheat codes exist. The GiveEngrams cheat will unlock all of the Engrams, so you no longer have to pick and choose which ones to give yourself. It also is great for those who want a more creative single-player experience.

The GiveEngramsTekOnly unlocks all of the Tek Engrams, so you don’t have to face off against the bosses in order to obtain them.

InfiniteStats & God

  • Infinite Stats
  • GiveInfiniteStatsToTarget
  • God

InfiniteStats (and GiveInfiniteStatsToTarget), when applied, gives you unlimited health, oxygen, stamina, food, and water. This is useful if you find yourself somewhere cold without a fur coat, or if you're too far from safe water to get a drink.

The danger in using this is that you can still die, but you won't have to worry about upgrading your character stats. Fortunately, that's where the God cheat comes in handy. This will negate all types of damage besides drowning, allowing you to fall from great distances and not worry about eating.

Fly & Walk

  • Fly
  • Walk

As with most games, there are going to be times when Ark: Survival Evolved goes a little bit wrong. There are places where you can clip into the environment, or where you slip in between two rocks and can't get a purchase to jump or climb your way out.

This is where the Fly cheat comes in handy; simply input it, and soar your way to glorious freedom; it's also very useful if you're unexpectedly surrounded by piranhas.

To turn Fly off again, you can input the command Walk. But if you haven't done anything to alter your stats, make sure that you're not too far from the ground when you do it, or you might meet a messy end.

EnemyInvisible

  • EnemyInvisible

There are times in Ark that your life will flash before your eyes, and no matter how fast or how long you run, the end seems to not be in sight. Sometimes, you'll notice a pair of Alphas on the horizon and realize you have no way home but through them. If you're not in the mood to lose everything, look to EnemyInvisible.

EnemyInvisible doesn't make the things with big scary teeth invisible, thankfully — it makes you invisible to them, even if provoked. This cheat is also useful for those who want to scout out a good base location in peace and quiet.

Summon

  • Summon
  • SummonTamed

Sometimes you head out with the express intention to tame one specific kind of creature, and it's vanished off the face of the world. When that happens, you can use Summon with the creature ID to have one pop into existence in front of you. Below, you can check out the code to summon an untamed dung beetle.

  • Summon DungBeetle_Character_BP_Aberrant_C

Have your bolas or your tranq arrows (or both) handy, because if the creature you've summoned would otherwise want to eat you then that isn't going to change. If you'd like to take the threat — and the time — out of the endeavor, you can use SummonTamed and not risk losing your head.

DoTame & ForceTame

  • DoTame
  • ForceTame

If you have an overwhelming urge to tame your own effective dodo army and you don't want to have to chase down, pummel, and feed them all, then DoTame and ForceTame are your best friends. These two cheats both work a little differently, and which you choose depends a lot on what you want to use the creature for.

DoTame will tame whatever creature that you're looking at, immediately, if it can be tamed normally. ForceTame will do the same thing, whether it is tameable or not, and will also allow you to ride it immediately as if it's got a saddle on.

If these codes aren't working for you, make sure that you really aim your crosshairs for the middle of the creature.

SetTargetDinoColor

via JUICEBOX/Steam
  • SetTargetDinoColor

SetTargetDinoColor is a cheat that requires a little bit of research to use and has no real strategic use, but if you're somebody who likes to have color-coordinated tames and the prettiest argent (no judgment), it's certainly worthy of note.

Each creature in the game has up to six color regions, and each of them can be assigned one of a hundred color IDs; this cheat is that it allows you to apply colors that won't occur on a given species either naturally or through breeding.

To manipulate colors, aim at a creature, input the cheat, and then follow it up with the region number and then the color ID. You can check out an example below.

  • SetTargetDinoColor 4 13
