Inevitably, these mysteries end up being related to each other and culminate with a good old-fashioned murder trial to take part in, but in Turnabout Corner, it's the journey that is the important thing.

Day 1: Investigation

Investigation phases allow you to do a few things:

  • Move between locations.
  • Examine those locations for conversations and, more importantly, clues.
  • Talk to people who may or may not be related to the case.

The vast majority of the time, when we instruct you to 'Talk' to someone, that means exhausting every dialogue option they have. You'll know a dialogue option is completed as there will be a checkmark next to it on the dialogue screen.

You'll begin this chapter at the Wright Talent Agency. Talk to Trucy here. Once that's over, Move to the Hickfield Clinic and Talk to Phoenix.

When instructed to return to the agency, head there and Talk to Guy Eldoon to learn about your second and third cases. To begin, Move to the Accident Scene.

At the Accident Scene (later called Kitaki Mansion), Talk to Plum (the lady with the broom) and then move the screen across to the right to see the entrance to People Park guarded by police.

Using the Examine button, take a look at the rubbish bin here and elect to pick up the car Mirror. Also, Examine the police officer before panning back to the left and Talking to Plum again to learn about what happened in the park.

Move to the Scene of the Stand Theft and Talk to Guy Eldoon. Afterwards, be sure to Examine the single noodle Bowl on the ground to get it as evidence - you'll need it way in the future.

Move the screen to the left and examine the clinic and the police car. When prompted, move back to the right and Talk to Guy Eldoon about the clinic. With that done, Move to Meraktis Clinic - Garage.

Examine the car to get a close-up view. With that done, Examine the tailpipe and the Cell Phone underneath the car to solve a mystery and gain some evidence. Now, Examine the broken wing mirror and, when prompted whether or not to give evidence, choose to Show Evidence and Present the Mirror. With that mystery solved, Move all the way back to Hickfield Clinic and Talk to Phoenix there.

After reporting to Phoenix, Move back to the Wright Talent Agency and Talk to Alita there to get your real case of the episode. Move to Kitaki Mansion afterwards, and you'll be escorted inside People Park.

Here, attempt to Talk to the detective and Examine the Noodle Stand - you'll meet a dead end with both options.

It's important that the object you try to Examine is the Noodle Stand, as it's this that allows you to progress.

When prompted to report to Phoenix, Move back to the Hickfield Clinic and Talk to him. He advises you to Move back to the Wright Talent Agency and Examine Trucy's hat, which is on the middle section of a saw-person-in-half magic device. You'll get some White Powder.

Move to People Park and Present the White Powder to the detective, Ema Skye. After this, Talk to her and then Examine everything on the screen: the Noodle Stand, the police statue, the massive knife, and the rubbish bin. Upon examining the Knife, you'll be given a tutorial about fingerprinting - the fingerprints on the Shiv belong to Wocky Kitaki.

Move to the Detention Center via the Wright Talent Agency - this is the last thing you'll do before heading to court.

Day 1: Trial

Cross-Examination: Wocky Kitaki's "Truth"

  1. Press the third statement: "I Was in his clinic 'bout half a year ago. He messed up my op something bad."
  2. Press the fourth statement: "And then he just lets me go, without a word. See ya later, bye!"
  3. Press the fifth statement: "So I gotta go in, get another doc to patch me up again!"

Cross-Examination: A Night In The Park

  1. Present Meraktis's Autopsy Report at the fifth statement: "A shot! The bullet hit the man pulling the stand from the front, square in the forehead!"

Cross-Examination: A Night In The Park 2

  1. Present the Pistol at the fifth statement: "Tossing the pistol aside, he fled from the scene."
  2. When prompted to state whether Wocky wore gloves or not, select "No Way."
  3. As evidence, Present the Knife.

Cross-Examination: From Shot To Call

  1. Press every statement here.
  2. When prompted to decide whether to not end the testimony, select Yes.
  3. There will be a break here wherein you'll be taught more about Apollo's perception ability. When you return to the courtroom, the previous cross-examination will still be in effect.
  4. Press the third statement: "Ergo! I used my cell phone to call the police."
  5. During the Perceive tutorial, move the lens down to the corner of Stickler's book. When the sentence reaches "I used my cell phone," press the Perceive button.
  6. When prompted to make a request, choose to Ask to see his phone.
  7. When prompted, choose to Show evidence and Present the Mirror.

Cross-Examination: Stickler's "Truth"

Close
  1. Press the fourth statement: "...I saw the killer, the victim, the stand... all as clear as day!"
  2. Ask about the Noodle Stand and get Stickler to add this detail to his testimony.
  3. Present the Noodle Stand at the new statement: "Why I even remember the sign on the stand the victim was pulling! It said "NOODLE"!"
  4. State that "He saw it right."
  5. On the map, Present a spot on the top half of the screen, so that Stickler would be viewing the stand from the north.
  6. Accuse Stickler of another crime entirely and Present Trucy's Panties as evidence.
  7. When prompted to provide another piece of evidence, Present the Bloomers from the rubbish bin.

It's important you get the order of the panties right! Presenting Plum's Bloomers first won't be evidence of Stickler's crime.

Day 2: Investigation

Talk to Alita to begin the day, then Move to the Detention Center and Talk to Stickler. Afterwards, Move to the Kitaki Mansion and Talk to Plum.

While you're here, pan the screen to the right and Examine the rubbish bin to get the Meraktis Clinic Slippers. Examine these Slippers in the court record and take a closer look at the toe print on the inside, dusting them for prints.

Move to Eldoon's House and Talk to Guy. Attempt to move the screen to the left to learn you need to prove a link between the crime and the clinic.

Move to the Detention Center, talk to Wocky, and then Present the Pistol to him. Talk to Wocky again about the night of the crime and then Move to People Park, meeting up with Klavier briefly on the way.

At People Park, Talk to Ema - when prompted to, go along with the offer to help her test the footprint kit. The first print you examine will be Wocky's. After that, ask Ema about another shoe print and select the one just to the south of the Noodle Stand - go through the printing process again to learn that this shoe isn't in the directory.

Present the Slippers to Ema to get Detective Skye's orders. With this, you'll be able to Move to Meraktis Clinic (via Eldoon's House). Inside the clinic, Examine the Sandals and the Bowls on the floor. Examine the Sandals further in the court record and inspect the toeprint on the sole.

Examine the door on the left to unlock the Meraktis Clinic - Office; move there now.

Inside, Examine the safe. During the conversation, choose the 'I have just the thing' option and Present the Fingerprint Powder. Dust the buttons on the safe to learn the other digits. The full code is 7952.

Inside the safe, Examine the documentsand the bullet lodged in the back of the safe wall. That's all you need from the safe. Before leaving, though, Examine the Lamp on the office floor.

Move to People Park and Present the Sandals to Ema, then the Slippers. This will prove that the toeprints are identical. Move to the Detention Center and Present the Sandals to Wocky to learn who they belong to. Also, Present Wocky's Chart to him and then Talk to him about everything.

With that done, Move to the Hickfield Clinic and Talk to Phoenix. Finally, Move to Eldoon's House and Present him with Wocky's Chart to learn more about Wocky's condition. Talk to Eldoon to end the phase.

Day 2: Trial

Cross-Examination: Wocky's Plan

  1. Press the fifth statement: "I... just don't see how anyone but Wocky could have done it."
  2. Say that there was another possible shooter and Present Alita's profile.
  3. To prove a connection between Alita and Meraktis, Present Wocky's Chart, then Present the Sandals.

Cross-Examination: The Meraktis Clinic

  1. Present Wocky's Chart at the fourth statement: "Why else would I have gone? I'm not hiding any dark secrets."
  2. Perceive the new statement: "Why would I go to the clinic now for a half-year-old chart?"
  3. Present Alita's ring being twiddled when the sentence reaches 'go to the clinic now' and then Present Wocky's Check-Up Report when prompted.
  4. Present the Bullet at the second new statement: "Nothing happened at all. I warned him, and left."

Cross-Examination: The Meraktis Clinic 2

  1. Press the fifth statement: "Frankly, I don't think it matters if Dr. Meraktis was shot in the temple or not."
  2. When asked where the killer shot from, choose the 'Someplace else' option and then Present the Noodle Stand.
  3. When asked to provide evidence, Present the Slippers, and then the Bowl.

Cross-Examination: Tiala's Explanation

  1. Perceive the fifth statement: "So I gave up and went home... All I did was talk to him!"
  2. Present Alita's hand tugging at her scarf when the sentence reaches 'All I did was walk to him!'.
  3. As supporting evidence, Present the Lamp.
  4. After the next scenes, Present the Noodle Stand.
  5. When presented with a map of the murder location, Present the river on the left of the screen.
  6. When asked to prove why Meraktis didn't use the car, state that "the car didn't run" and Present Trucy's Panties as proof.

This is the final choice of the trial. To end the episode, though, Present Wocky with Wocky's Chart.
