Nintendo 3DS And PS Vita Get A Stylish Upgrade With New Cases

It's a lazy Sunday afternoon in 2024. You're lounging on your couch, doom-scrolling through your newsfeed, when suddenly, a headline catches your eye: "Nintendo 3DS And PS Vita: The Unexpected Comeback Kids Of The Fashion World." You blink, rub your eyes, and read it again. No, you're not dreaming. The gaming world has just been turned on its head, and your forgotten handheld consoles are at the center of it all.
Allow me to explain. WaterField Designs, the San Francisco-based accessory wizards, just put out their latest creation: a line of premium cases for the Nintendo 3DS and Sony PS Vita. A rather thoughtful gesture for consoles that haven't seen the light of a production line in years. Let's take a look at what's happening.

It's called PlayStation for a reason. Here are the games you should be playing on your PS5 right now.
PostsWhat You're Getting
CloseFirst off, we have this beautiful lineup of magnetic cases for both the PS Vita and the 3DS family. We say family because, one, I'm a huge fan of the Fast And Furious movies, and two, they are compatible with the 3DS, 3DS New, 3DS XL, and the New 3DS XL. Just pick whatever you need from the drop-down menu, and you should be good to go. Waterfield has given us a variety of color options to choose from, like Cammo, Mocha, Deep Blue, Black, Slate, and Olive Green. And for the low, low price of $3, you can get a cool little carabiner to go along with your case! Now isn't that tight?

Moving on, we have some really cool CitySlicker options for the Vita and the 3DS. Both these models are ballistic nylon/leather-based, and are available in colors like Chocolate, Crimson, Grizzly, Blue, White, and Black. The interesting thing about the Nintendo 3DS family models is that, in addition to the models we discussed before, you also have compatible pouches for 2DS XL, which is something we didn't see with the magnetic cases. Also, for an additional $25, you get a nice, matching sling-strap to go with your case as well (I'd recommend going for it because, given the build of these pouches, it doesn't make sense to not get one).

So what's the catch? Well, the cases are available for pre-order only until September 22, 2024, which makes sense given the limited nature of both the cases and the user-base for the consoles. Once that's done, the order should start getting shipped by October 4th.
Don't miss this chance to turn your aging handheld into a fashion statement. After all, who says you can't teach an old console new tricks?
