CyberConnect2's president has debunked a rumour that suggested that he'd confirmed that more Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm games are planned if the Boruto series keeps going. It's fair to say that, although the tides have turned now, the initial announcement of Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections earlier this year wasn't exactly what fans were hoping to see. Trademarks and rumours, along with the fact that there's currently an ongoing Naruto spinoff series, made it seem like we'd be getting Storm 5, but instead, Connections is more of a bridging game like Generations and Revolution.Related: Why Can't We Just Get Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 5?Although the fan response to Connections has warmed up as more new characters have been revealed and the new story mode has been detailed, those who were annoyed that it's not a fully-fledged sequel might have thought there was some good news on the horizon yesterday. Over on Twitter, gaak_fr shared a post that claimed that CyberConnect2's president, Hiroshi Matsuyama, had confirmed at Japan Expo that more Ultimate Ninja Storm games are on the way if the Boruto series continues, something that was backed up by NinjaStormCo.[EMBED_TWITTER]https://twitter.com/gaak_fr/status/1679850970740666369[/EMBED_TWITTER]This news quickly spread around the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm community last night, with many celebrating the soft confirmation that Connections wasn't the end. Sadly, Matsuyama has responded to the claims and debunked them, stating that CyberConnect2 can't confirm these kinds of projects ahead of time.Matsuyama said, "At overseas events, etc., we may be interviewed by local media as CyberConnect2. However, at that time, when asked about the titles we were entrusted with, such as "NARUTO", "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure", "Dragon Ball", and "Kimetsu no Yaiba", we only said, "Please ask the manufacturer." I cannot answer. CyberConnect2 is in charge of game development after entrusting the copyright. Information on future developments and the latest information will be provided by manufacturers and Shonen Jump magazines."twitter.com/gaak_fr/status/1679850970740666369Matsuyama goes on to say that he can talk as much as he wants about Fuga and CyberConnect2, but that he can't answer any questions about the copyrights that the company works with unless it's something that's already been announced. It's a little strange that several different sources reported Matsuyama saying there'd be more Storm games if this is the case, but it seems the case is closed for now. This doesn't mean that more Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm games aren't coming in the future as it's an incredibly successful series and the ongoing Boruto series is sure to inspire more games in the future, but it looks like Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections is the only thing that's planned for the series right now.Next: It Really Sucks That No One Is Watching Secret Invasion
