PSA: Mortal Kombat 1's Entire Story Mode Streamed Days Before Launch

We've had a bunch of Mortal Kombat 1 leaks lately, but this might be the worst one yet. Somehow, a content creator managed to get hold of a copy of the game early, and proceeded to stream himself playing the story mode. Spoilers are being shared online, so watch out for story details if you want to go in blind.
Clips are being taken down by copyright holder, Warner Bros. Games, but not before they can be backed up and shared by others. Anyone waiting for launch day might want to steer clear of Twitter in particular right now, as fans discuss story elements streamed by the player who secured the game days before release.

Twitter and Twitch user OfficialK3G appears to be the source of the leaked footage, but it's not completely clear how he even managed to secure a copy of the game early. The only explanation he's offered is that he "knows" someone with access, who then presumably passed the copy onto him. Given that OfficialK3G has now broken whatever embargo would have been agreed upon, he probably won't be getting any other games from Warner Bros. in the future.
Speaking of, don't worry, we're not going over any story beats here. But we can't say the same for the Mortal Kombat community, as clips and spoilers are shared around. Some have been copyright claimed already, but now, they're popping up faster than they can be taken down, so social media isn't safe for fans hoping to avoid all of the leaks.
Thankfully, there isn't too much longer to wait now. Mortal Kombat 1 launches on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch on September 19. Anyone with a premium edition of the game will get it a few days earlier on September 14, so OfficialK3G only had to wait until next Thursday to start streaming it legitimately. He'd still have his Twitch account that way, since the entire channel has been taken down over the copyright infringement. It remains to be seen if he gets it back, but he's still active on Twitter and Facebook in any case.
That said, Mortal Kombat 1 was already an incredibly leaky game long before OfficialK3G found a copy to play early. The huge news that the first DLC pack would include Homelander, Omni-Man and Peacemaker as guest fighters was known months in advance thanks to rumours that proved true, as did the reveal that Megan Fox would have a role in the game. The latter was only recently confirmed, as a new trailer revealed that Fox will play Nitara - the vampire fighter from the 3D era who hasn't appeared in the series for years.
