Tired of using fatalities already? Or maybe you want to take your friend by surprise with an instant kill to show off your skills. Either way, Mortal Kombat 1 has got you covered, as there are many gruesome ways to kill someone around here, with individual characters having multiple options already.

Thus, let's talk about some of the best you can perform, considering their style and how easy or difficult it is to pull off to ensure your success when attempting those yourself. Bear in mind there are a lot of those in the game, so what we'll cover will be a mere fraction of what you can do.
Honorable Mention: Uppercuts And Kameo Brutalities
Though they lack flair, the simplest Brutality you can use during your fights is the uppercut attack every character has to end the Kombat. Any character can pull off this one, ripping the enemy's head off in the process.
You can also use your Kameo fighter to make unique Brutalities, as they tend to have more than one - some will even be mentioned here. You can also use them depending on which Kameo is with you instead of the character you're playing, giving you more options for ending the match.
15 Watch This - Tanya
Tanya already shows us a good example of brutality with her moves, all courtesy of her impressive magic staff. This brutality consists of a series of hits performed by spinning her sanjiegun (a three-piece nunchaku-like weapon).
With these attacks, she rips off both of her opponent's arms before going for a final strike that rips their head off. Pretty decent way to end a fight.
14 The Best Part - Mileena
Mileena has Tarkat, turning her into half a monstrosity already. Thus, a brutality that goes deeper on that is quite fun to see. After beating the opponent through a teleporting attack, Mileena uses blades like Baraka's to finish the job.
After a series of strikes with the blades, this attack isn't too different from what we could see from Baraka, but it's just neat to see Mileena performing a move like that and the fact she has those arm blades, too.
13 Just A Little Dip - Rain
In a pretty stylish move that almost looks like a magic trick, Rain has a very straightforward brutality where he traps himself and his opponent in water.

After a few moments with both trapped inside, the bubble bursts, and the remains of Rain's opponent just fall to the ground before he finally reappears on the screen. Rain also always makes it rain after his brutalities, which is a fun plus for him.
12 Bed Of Spikes - Shang Tsung
This one reminds us of The Pit and its stage fatality, where the person falls into spikes. Shang Tsung can summon spikes in the ground in this game to do lower attacks from a distance, and you can use them for a brutality.
Here, he'll summon these spikes, getting the opponent completely stuck on them, which is why it reminds us of one of Mortal Kombat's best arenas to this day. It's like poetry; it rhymes.
11 Scream Queen - Sindel
Sindel has many finishers that involve a constant scream - even one of her fatalities is like that. It's safe to say she'd have at least one brutality following the same premise, which is the case.
This simple finisher has her tossing her opponent on the ground and screaming directly at their face, destroying their skull in the process as she screams until the body stops moving.
10 You Had Enough? - Reiko
Another good example of being brutal (as these should all be) is our returning boy, Reiko. Second-in-command of Outworld's army, you can expect a lot of violence from someone trained by Shao.
His brutalities, in particular, are pretty good, but here, he simply punches the opponent's face over and over until he finally opens a hole in their skull.
9 Pin Kushion - Frost
Continuing the trend of hitting an opponent repeatedly, we have Frost - Kameo fighters can perform brutalities, too. She creates an ice wall full of spikes and tosses the enemy on it, then pulls the body away just to shove it in the spikes a few times over.
Then, by freezing their body, she takes their head off, displaying it as a trophy - as any monster would do in this situation, and we know Frost isn't the nicest person around here.
8 You Got Caged - Johnny Cage
Why kill your opponent when you have people for that sort of thing? By far the funniest one in this list, we have Johnny Cage leaving the opponent at the mercy of his makeup designer.
Johnny just gets a chair and stays there while the designer makes multiple cuts across the enemy's face, even cutting their noses. The trigger is also pretty funny, as Jonny throws his sunglasses at the opponent's face, who proudly wears them until they get butchered.
7 Any Way You Slice It - Scorpion
Simple, quick, and efficient - not every killing strike needs theatrics. Our new Scorpion Kuai Liang proves that well, with a brutality that only features a single attack with his Kusarigama (the chain-scythe weapon).
He hits his opponent with it as he passes through, then pulls it back, slicing the opponent horizontally and getting the job done.
6 Absolute Zero - Sub-Zero
Unfortunately (for the opponent), Bi-Han isn't as lovely and doesn't mind giving them a more painful death. Absolute Zero is proof of it, as he pierces their body over and over with a spear made of ice.
Once he's done with that, he pierces the spear through their mouth and raises it in a way that removes the opponent's head. Merciless as always.
