9 How To Train Your Dragon

How To Train Your Dragon is a beloved book and movie series. What better way than to recreate it in a beloved game with a dragon? This is exactly what Gamemode One did by creating a Minecraft mashup pack.

You can explore Berk along with Hiccup, Toothless, and many other Vikings and dragons. Flying around on dragons, you can see the Barbaric Archipelago, structures, and ships. You also have the ability to rescue dragons that have been captured and even tame and train your own dragon.

8 Tamriel (The Elder Scrolls)

The Elder Scrolls has given us an unforgettable setting of Tamriel throughout its games. Many might recognize it from Morrowind and Skyrim. Now that world has been brought to Minecraft in the Dragonborn mashup pack.

7 The Hunger Games

It’s no secret that The Hunger Games spawned a wave of maps and videos in the early days of Minecraft multiplayer servers. This hit book and film series seemed to be made specifically for Minecraft.

While there have been many different servers and maps that have hosted Hunger Games matches, it is the original iterations that came directly from the source material that stood out. Some of the best locations, like The Cornucopia, The Capital, and the battlefield from Catching Fire, have been recreated.

6 Pirates Of The Caribbean

There have been many games that have tried to capitalize on the success of Pirates of the Caribbean. While Sea of Thieves had a crossover with the infamous Jack Sparrow, it’s the crossover with Minecraft that really topped the cake.

4 Halo

Master Chief and Halo are some of the biggest names that came out of Microsoft, so it’s no surprise that Minecraft created a mashup pack for them.

The Master Chief mashup pack not only recreated many iconic locations and maps such as Valhalla, Blood Gultch, and Silent Cartographer. To fully encapsulate the look and feel of Halo, you have a wide range of character skins and music from the game. Topping off the world is a texture pack that really makes you feel like a Spartan.

3 Game Of Thrones

For years Game of Thrones was a household name not only for its books and wildly popular show. No matter how you felt about the final season, it doesn't take away from the fact that the show brought the world of George R.R. Martin to life.
