A new free update for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is adding a whopping eight new suits to the game, including brand-new designs, Peter B. Parker's suit from Into The Spider-Verse, and the return of some old favorites from other games.
It's been a hot minute since the release of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, and while fans are eagerly awaiting an update on the rumored Beetle and Daredevil DLC, Insomniac has been regularly updating the game since launch with new suits and features. In fact, a new update was announced just today which revealed that eight new suits are dropping into Spider-Man 2 on June 18, featuring a variety of designs and some returning suits from previous titles.
We'll start off with the main highlight, as this free update will add a second suit from Into the Spider-Verse alongside Miles Morales. Later this month, Peter B. Parker - the slightly depressed mentor of Miles - will have his suit added to the game for Insomniac's Peter Parker to strut about in, giving both of our main characters a Spider-Verse suit to rep alongside all of those Spider-Verse references in the main game.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2's Next Free Update Adds New Suit Designs
CloseOn top of that, four completely new Spider-Man suits will be added in the update, each one designed in part by a famous fan. For example, the Ginga Suit which you can see in the gallery above was designed by Real Madrid footballer Vinícius Jr, and is colored green, black, purple, and yellow to represent his home country of Brazil. F1 star Lando Norris has also designed the Fluro Suit, fittingly the one which is black and gold, and replaces Spider-Man's mask with a snazzy F1 helmet.
You can find more details on all the new designs on the PlayStation Blog if you want to know more about who designed them and what their inspirations were, as well as images of the rest of the update's suits. Miles Morales' Uptown Pride and Animated suits are being added from the Spider-Man game of the same name, while Peter Parker is getting his Last Stand suit from the first Marvel's Spider-Man game following fan requests.
