Ironfall Invasion was an alright little shooter on 3DS, but a homebrew exploit pulled it off the eShop two months ago. Since then I’ve kind of forgotten about it, but developer VD-Dev has announced that it’s back and ready for download in its free-to-play and premium incarnations.

There’s another story playing out as well here — the saga of smealum, a leading 3DS homebrewer, who was the reason the game shut down in the first place. He notes to not download Ironfall if you have ironhax installed on your unit, as it seems that the new update has eliminated any potential vulnerabilities.
