CES: Wake-Up Club for PS Vita is an alarm... game

No snooze button
Recommended VideosPlayStation Vita title Wake-Up Club isn’t really a game; it’s more of an alarm clock that sports a couple of mini games to make sure that you’re really awake and not just hitting snooze. Oh, and there’s social gaming elements. Weird, right?
Set multiple alarms and get to sleep, but be ready to chase the off button when it rings as it dances around the screen, making you chase it with your finger. And if that doesn’t wake you up, the following mini game will. You’ll have to tap cute little sleepyheads multiple times to wake them up, in turn waking you up.
Social elements include trying to make a game out of you and your friends waking up at the same time. The application/game even has a statistics screen so you can track how good you are at waking up together.
I was won over by the selectable clock themes in Wake-Up Club. Beyond several cool types of digital and analog presets, other game-themed options were included. Ones for Journey and Tokyo Jungle were among the mix, and Sony says that more will be downloadable later, priced at $0.25 a theme.
The Wake-Up Club app is free. It’s out now in Europe, and Sony says that we can expect it in North America in the next month or so.
