Get your Banjo Kazooie votes in

This past week there has been a lot of excitement around Nintendo accepting votes for which videogame character should be the next addition to Smash Bros. on Wii U and 3DS. While most of the talk has been around Nintendo first party characters, there have been people wondering if Nintendo would consider adding third-party characters in as DLC.

As it turns out, Nintendo of America is perfectly happy for you to vote for third-party characters, but it can’t guarantee it’ll be able to add them to the game. When contacted by email, a Nintendo of America responded:

Thanks for writing to us. I can certainly understand your interest in if third-party characters are eligible for the Smash Bros. Fighter Ballot. I want to assure you that you are able to submit any video-game character for this ballot. While we are unable to guarantee your suggested character will become a Super Smash Bros. Fighter, rest assured, we do take all feedback into consideration.

And there you have it, feel free to use your votes for new Smash Bros. characters on Banjo Kazooie, Super Meat Boy, The Stanley Parable‘s narrator or Crash Bandicoot. We can’t guarantee they’ll not be wasted votes but at least we know Nintendo won’t be mad at you for asking.
