Microsoft just announced today that they are bringing the NBA, NHL, and WatchESPN to Xbox Live. The NBA will be coming in the form of the already existing NBA League Pass, which lets you select from a number of payment tiers, and brings on-demand basketball streaming to your device. NHL Gamecenter (previously available on the PS3) streams content in a similar manner.

WatchESPN delivers a number of ESPN programs on-demand, such as Mike and Mike, PTI, and a host of sporting events. Currently, the Xbox is the only console out that supports the NBA and WatchESPN. It looks like Microsoft is making big moves in terms of entertainment — and E3 isn’t over yet!
