UPDATE: We have embedded an interactive map to help you with tracking down Malanya in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Discovering Malanya: The Horse God in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

For enthusiasts of equestrian adventures in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, locating Malanya is a pivotal task. As the revered Horse God, Malanya enhances the abilities of your trusty steed—and for a small fee—can even resurrect a horse that has met an unfortunate fate.

However, pinpointing Malanya’s whereabouts can be challenging based on your progress within the game. Often described as a mythical figure, this deity is something of a magnet for adventurers drawn to the northeastern region of Akkala on the map.

To gain advantages for your horse, you need to prepare a specific meal. Also, you can revive a deceased horse with just a single Endura Carrot.

Locating Malanya: Your Guide to the Horse God

Where to Find Malanya in Tears of the Kingdom

The Horse God resides at the northern edge of Akkala, specifically at the top of Bloodleaf Lake. This spot is conveniently located just downhill from Robbie’s tech lab, where you acquire the Travel Medallion in the game.

To reach Malanya, take the pathway beyond the East Akkala Stable. You can also visualize Malanya’s location on the interactive map provided below!

Before proceeding, engage the vendor stationed at the southern fence. He offers Malanya buns at a nominal price, which grant an entire extra stamina wheel—especially useful if you’re aiming to tame the Giant White Stallion.

Navigate past or defeat the Octorok found in the lake’s central area and continue heading north along the wooden boardwalk. You will notice the ambiance change to a purple mist, leading you to a Great Fairy-like figure at the walkway’s end. Upon conversing, be ready to give an Endura Carrot if you possess one.

Acquiring Endura Carrots in Tears of the Kingdom

Should you lack an Endura Carrot, the quickest way to procure one is by venturing to Satori Mountain, positioned in central Hyrule, west of Hyrule Field. You may glide there easily from the Hyrule Tower.

Alternatively, if you’re in the Faron region, you can find these carrots scattered around the ridges near the Lake of the Horse God, as well as around the Great Fairy Fountains.

Upon consuming the carrot, Malanya will emerge, introduce themselves, and humorously declare their abilities; they will enhance one specific stat in exchange for a suitable meal, and can also revive your fallen equine companions, again for a meal.
