Wired Productions and Camel 101 Collaborate on Lovecraftian Horror Game “Beneath”

Wired Productions has announced an exciting collaboration with Camel 101 to bring their upcoming Lovecraftian horror and first-person shooter (FPS) titled Beneath to the gaming community. This game, inspired by iconic titles such as F. E.A. R and Resident Evil, immerses players into the ominous depths of the ocean, where a deep-sea diver must contend with terrifying eldritch entities lurking beneath the surface.

For those eager to experience Beneath ahead of its official release, a closed beta playtest is currently open for sign-ups. This opportunity allows participants to explore the game’s initial offerings and provide valuable feedback to the developers.

What to Expect in “Beneath”

The game features players stepping into the role of Noah Quinn, an experienced deep-sea diver whose expedition takes a perilous turn, leaving him trapped in the ocean’s depths. As players navigate this vast underwater world, they will unveil the ancient evils that inhabit it, all while fighting for their survival against both supernatural horrors and hostile soldiers.

Resource management plays a crucial role in Beneath, akin to games like Resident Evil and Half-Life. Players will find limited ammunition, forcing them to use their supplies strategically. Maintaining sanity becomes an additional challenge as the relentless threats from the deep can quickly overwhelm even the steadiest of nerves. Unlike many traditional horror titles, divers will have the freedom to maneuver not just in their rig, but also in their specialized deep-sea dive suits, enhancing gameplay fluidity.

Insight from the Development Team

“It’s a pleasure to work with Bruno and Ricardo again, ”said Leo Zullo, Managing Director at Wired Productions.“They are a passionate and talented team, and as brothers, their bond resonates deeply with Wired. Long-term relationships are important to us and we will put our hearts and souls into Beneath and them.”

Currently, Beneath is set for release on PC, although details about potential availability on other gaming platforms have yet to be disclosed.

“We couldn’t be more excited about teaming up with Wired! Our previous partnership on Those Who Remain was a success, so we already know the value they bring to the table. Beneath is our most ambitious project to date, and we’re sure that their passion and expertise will be invaluable in helping us bring the game to its full potential, ”said Ricardo Cesteiro, Co-Founder and Managing Director at Camel 101.
