Wii U Games That Deserve a Comeback on Nintendo Switch

The much-anticipated Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition has finally launched on Nintendo Switch, broadening its accessibility beyond the Wii U platform. This significant release leaves only a handful of notable Wii U titles awaiting a revival on modern systems. In light of this, the team at Siliconera is eager to share their insights on which beloved Wii U games they would like to see remastered or recreated for the Nintendo Switch next.

Siliconera’s Wish List: Next Wii U Remaster

It’s been close to a decade since players have taken to the skies in an Arwing. While a new Star Fox installment may not be on the horizon, I would love to see Star Fox Zero receive a remaster tailored for the Switch 2. With enhanced graphics and refined controls, this game could help to gently feed the appetite of Star Fox enthusiasts awaiting fresh content.— Thomas

Although Mario Kart is the reigning champion of kart racers, my personal favorite from the Wii U catalog isn’t Mario Kart 8. Growing up as a Sega fan, I believe Sonic outshines his competitors on the racing circuit. If Diddy Kong Racing could successfully coexist with Mario Kart 64, it’s only fitting that Switch fans experience the thrill of Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed. Its seamless transitions between cars, planes, and boats make it my top pick in the racing genre.— George

With the launch of Xenoblade Chronicles X, nearly all my most anticipated Wii U titles have made their way to modern platforms, except for the iconic Zelda remasters. In particular, I am eager to see Twilight Princess return on either current or next-generation Switch consoles. This is ironic as it’s one of the few Zelda games I’ve yet to experience despite its compelling aesthetic. I cannot wait to finally immerse myself in this classic and evaluate how it compares with other stellar entries in the franchise.— Cody
