Overview of Cantarella’s Abilities in Wuthering Waves Version 2.2

  • Cantarella is expected to feature infinite swimming capabilities, enhancing exploration in Wuthering Waves.
  • Her swimming mechanics may mirror Phoebe’s flight techniques, suggesting intricate skill sequences to optimize her underwater movements.
  • The anticipated Version 2.2 update is projected to launch in late March, introducing Cantarella as a 5-Star Rectifier unit.

Recent leaks surrounding Wuthering Waves indicate that the character Cantarella will possess the unique ability to swim indefinitely while players explore the game’s vast environments. This exciting news came in conjunction with her introduction during the upcoming Version 2.2 update.

As confirmed by Kuro Games, Cantarella will debut as a 5-Star Rectifier unit characterized by her Havoc attribute. The developer has previously promoted her design through various drip-marketing initiatives, including recent story trailers that highlight her jellyfish-inspired aesthetics. Early information regarding her combat skills suggests that her jellyfish motif will play a significant role, not only in combat scenarios but also in enhancing exploration experiences.

According to reliable sources, including prominent leaker Jinhsi Leaks, gameplay footage reveals Cantarella’s unique swimming abilities. Unlike other Resonator characters, she demonstrates distinct swimming animations and remarkable speed. Moreover, one of her skills appears to allow her to leap out of the water, momentarily gliding with her jellyfish companions, which helps her regain stamina before submerging again. This cycle enables her to swim indefinitely, vastly enhancing her exploration potential. However, since this information is derived from the Version 2.2 beta, adjustments to her capabilities may occur before the official release.

Cantarella’s Infinite Swimming Potential in Wuthering Waves

The information regarding Cantarella’s swimming ability bears resemblance to the flight mechanics of Phoebe. While Phoebe can enhance her aerial maneuverability through specific skill sequences, players might need to discover optimal skill combinations to fully exploit Cantarella’s swimming prowess. Additional leaks suggest that Cantarella could also function effectively as a sub-DPS unit for Havoc classes, enhancing her versatility in the game. Notably, she will be the singular new 5-Star character introduced in Version 2.2, alongside the anticipated Aero Rover.

The current Version 2.1 of Wuthering Waves recently progressed into its second phase, which includes the rerun of Changli’s banner and the debut of Brant. Speculations indicate that in the forthcoming Version 2.2, Cantarella will be featured in the initial half of the banners, followed by The Shorekeeper and Camellya, the latter of whom is touted as one of the game’s most formidable Havoc DPS characters. Furthermore, this update is expected to launch in late March and will introduce a new chapter in the main story, providing deeper insights into the characters Phrolova and Cartethyia.
