Ubisoft Updates: Upcoming Games and Release Windows

After a prolonged absence from public showcases, Ubisoft has provided new insights into several noteworthy titles during its recent earnings call. This update has generated excitement among fans eagerly awaiting news on upcoming releases, including the much-anticipated remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and the next installment of the Anno series.

The Sands of Time Remake: A Turbulent Journey

Initially announced in 2020, the remake of the beloved classic Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time has faced significant obstacles throughout its development. Following two years of delays, Ubisoft made a strategic decision to switch developers in 2022, with Ubisoft Montréal taking the reins from Ubisoft Mumbai and Pune. In 2023, the company confirmed a complete reboot of this ambitious project.

As revealed by Ubisoft, players can expect the game to launch during the 2025-2026 fiscal year. Barring any further delays, fans should anticipate getting their hands on it by March 2026 at the latest. The remake will be available on various platforms including PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo, priced at $39.99.

Anno 117: Pax Romana and Other Upcoming Titles

The earnings call also disclosed exciting launch windows for additional titles, all slated for 2025-2026. Among these are two mobile games, The Division Resurgence and Rainbow Six Mobile, both promising new gameplay experiences for mobile gamers. Furthermore, the eagerly awaited city-building game Anno 117: Pax Romana is on the horizon, introducing innovative features, including diagonal roads and buildings, alongside modular shipbuilding to enhance its classic grid layout.

Financial Setbacks: Delays and Future Releases

In a less optimistic update, Ubisoft disclosed during the investor call that several yet-to-be-announced projects have faced delays. While specific titles or franchises were not named, the move indicates potential alterations in the company’s release schedule as we approach the yearly summer gaming showcases. Fans are hopeful that some of these unannounced projects will be unveiled soon.

As Ubisoft prepares for the future, both fans and investors will be watching closely for news on both struggling and anticipated titles as the gaming landscape continues to evolve.
