Looking Ahead: Future Plans for The Sinking City Franchise

Stepping into the spotlight, Sergiy Oganesyan, Publishing Director at Frogwares, hinted at exciting developments for the franchise. He stated:

We plan to do big things with The Sinking City IP, starting with the sequel and then beyond. So, after our rather well-known struggles with the original, it feels amazing to have this positive moment be part of the game’s twisted history and for us to be the ones to fully decide it. Making it free to all our existing fans is our way of giving back to them for having supported us all this time through thick and thin.

In a recent exclusive interview, Oganesyan shared insights on The Sinking City 2, which was successfully funded through a Kickstarter campaign, raising $627, 000—450% above its initial funding goal. The upcoming sequel promises to delve deeper into survival horror, placing a stronger focus on combat. Nevertheless, Frogwares aims to retain the investigative mechanics from the original, allowing players to engage with them as optional features for a smoother experience.

For those eager to explore what the remastered version has to offer or to catch a glimpse of the upcoming sequel, this is indeed a pivotal moment in the history of The Sinking City.
