The Sims 4: Tips for Unlocking Additional Small Business Venue Lots

The Sims 4 continues to expand its gameplay experience with a variety of game packs such as Get to Work and Dine Out, which initially enabled players to establish their own businesses. With the introduction of the Businesses and Hobbies content, players can now take their entrepreneurial ambitions to a whole new level, creating virtually any type of business they desire.
The extensive customization options in this game often spark players’ desires to manage multiple business venues simultaneously. This ambition requires acquiring additional lots. For those who prefer to maintain the privacy of their home while managing a business, knowing how to acquire a Small Business Venue Lot becomes essential.
Steps to Acquire a Small Business Venue Lot in The Sims 4
When players attempt to register their initial Small Business through the Business Panel, the default setting directs them to their home lot. For those wishing to keep their residential space separate, the process is straightforward: open your Sim’s Phone, select the Business App, and choose the Buy a Small Business Venue Lot option. If players already operate a Small Business, they can access this feature either through the Business App or directly through the Small Business Panel. By clicking on the desired business title, a dropdown menu will appear with the option to purchase a new Small Business Venue Lot.
Following this, players will be navigated to the Worlds screen to select from various lot types suitable for their new Small Business. Eligible lot types include:
- Empty lots
- Unoccupied community lots
- Unoccupied residential lots
- Unowned Small Business Venue Lots
However, note that inhabited residential lots, owned Small Business lots, and retail store lots cannot be purchased. Players can circumvent this restriction by evicting Sims, bulldozing existing lots, or changing the lot types as needed.
Once a new Small Business Venue Lot is acquired, players simply need to place a Business Sign and a Ticket Kiosk on the lot for it to officially serve as a venue for their budding business.
Expanding Your Business Ventures in The Sims 4
While it is indeed possible for players to own multiple Small Business Venue Lots, a key limitation exists: each player may only register a single Small Business at any one time. This means that while players can explore a plethora of customization options, all ventures will essentially follow the same format. The most players can do is establish a franchise across multiple Sims 4 Worlds.
Despite the limitation on the number of registered businesses, players can still own significantly more Business Venue Lots than they might anticipate. Provided that their Sims have sufficient Simoleons in household funds, purchasing additional Business Lots can continue indefinitely.
