Tattoos have long been a popular form of self-expression for Sims through the Create-A-Sim (CAS) feature. However, the Businesses and Hobbies expansion pack has elevated this aspect of gameplay to new heights. With the innovative Free Paint option, players can now unleash their imaginations to craft virtually limitless tattoo designs! Yet, even the most remarkable tattoos may eventually lose their charm, prompting players or their Sims to seek a fresh look.
Players who possess the Businesses and Hobbies expansion pack enjoy enhanced options for tattoo removal. However, alternatives exist even for those without this expansion. Below, we delve into various methods for removing tattoos in The Sims 4.
Removing Tattoos Using Create-A-Sim (CAS)
To remove tattoos through CAS, players must first enable the full edit mode, which unlocks a wider range of customization options not available in the regular gameplay. Here’s how to activate this mode:
- Open the cheat console by pressing
Ctrl + Shift + C
(orCmd + Shift + C
on Mac). - Enter the command
testingcheats true
and hit Enter. - Then type
cas.fulleditmode
and press Enter.
Once in full edit mode, players can utilize any mirror for the Change Sim interaction. Navigate to the Tattoo section, where you have the option to either remove all tattoos by clicking the cross or selectively adjust or eliminate specific tattoos on designated body parts.
Removing Tattoos with a Tattoo Table
This method is exclusive to those who own the Businesses and Hobbies expansion pack. Players can remove tattoos by interacting with a Tattoo Table that is currently in use. By selecting the Request Tattoo Removal service, which costs 280 Simoleons, players can choose to eliminate all tattoos or just a specific tattoo from their Sim’s body.
Additionally, if a Sim possesses at least level 4 in the Tattooing skill, they can provide tattoo removal services to other Sims. However, this ability is primarily beneficial for players managing a Tattoo Parlor business or those who own a Tattoo Table at home where other Sims can be served. If neither of these conditions is met, players will need to rely on either cheats or the payment of Simoleons for tattoo removal.
