Clive Rosfield Joins Tekken 8 as Final DLC Character for Season 1

In an exciting announcement, Bandai Namco has disclosed that Clive Rosfield, the protagonist of Final Fantasy XVI, will be the final downloadable content (DLC) character for Season 1 of Tekken 8. The news was unveiled during The Game Awards 2024, where a thrilling gameplay trailer was showcased. Clive will be available for early access to Season Pass holders starting December 16, 2024, with a broader release set for December 20, 2024.

The reveal trailer features an intense battle between Clive Rosfield and Jin Kazama, set against a vibrant backdrop reminiscent of the iconic Liquid Flame fight from Final Fantasy XVI. Fans can expect a special introductory sequence that highlights their unique abilities, showcasing Jin’s single devil wing juxtaposed with one of Clive’s Phoenix wings. Notably, Ifrit makes an appearance in Clive’s moveset, culminating in an impressive Rage Art attack.

This isn’t the first time a character from the Final Fantasy series has graced the Tekken franchise. In Tekken 7, players could enjoy the inclusion of Noctis from Final Fantasy XV as a DLC character.
