To unlock one of the various achievements or trophies in Sniper Elite: Resistance, players must locate and destroy a total of 21 Dead-eye Targets, commonly referred to as Stone Eagles. Each mission, with the exceptions of the first and ninth, contains three Stone Eagles for players to discover.

Aside from Stone Eagles, Sniper Elite: Resistance offers numerous other collectibles, each tied to their unique trophies or achievements. Notably, locating the Stone Eagles requires keen observation skills to identify glimmering objects within the environment—aside from vigilant enemy snipers.

Stone Eagles in Mission 2

In Mission 2, all three Stone Eagles can be spotted from a single vantage point. Upon starting the mission, follow the road leading to a bridge, where you’ll find a leftward path that descends. This path grants access to the broader map and leads to one of the game’s Propaganda Posters, signaling the next route.

Players have two options from this point: they can either head right and break open some wooden boards to enter a tunnel, which leads to a room with a ladder; or they may choose to ascend the left path by climbing some vines to reach the same area. A Propaganda Poster awaits players at the top of the stairs.

At the viewpoint where the poster is situated, players can take down the enemy guarding the area, enabling them to target all three Stone Eagles displayed in the images above. Successfully acquiring all three before continuing with the remaining collectibles is advantageous for Mission 2.

Stone Eagles in Mission 3

For Mission 3, players can find an excellent vantage point near the east side of the map by moving onto the train tracks and heading south. To save time, utilizing the metal stairs to reach this location quickly is advisable.

From this advantageous spot, players can mark all three Stone Eagles before taking their shots. The first Eagle lies in the direction of the starting location; the second is by a Nazi banner on a square building; and the third is located to the right of the second, adjacent to a nearby tower.

For those collecting items in Mission 3, it’s wise to gather these three Stone Eagles early on from this perspective. The first Eagle can be challenging to spot from various angles, making it beneficial to check it off early in the quest.

Stone Eagles in Mission 4

At the start of Mission 4, players should take the zipline down to the platform below and proceed up the path onto the ridge that overlooks the crumbling towers to spot two Stone Eagles right away.

One Eagle resides on the crumbling tower, while the second is located by the dam, which can be somewhat elusive — especially from a distance. After securing these two shots, turn around to head towards the lumberyard to find the final Stone Eagle in the northern section.

This route aligns with the usual path players take during the mission, making these Stone Eagles the first collectibles to be marked off in Mission 4.

Stone Eagles in Mission 5

Unlike earlier missions, Mission 5, titled “Devil’s Cauldron, ”does not provide an immediate ideal vantage point. Players must navigate strategically to capture all three Stone Eagles. The initial one is perched atop the lighthouse, where players can also achieve a long-range kill shot from a distance.

The second Stone Eagle is located on a large metal crane, home to an enemy sniper. The last Eagle can be found on the upper right side of the train tunnel on the map’s northern area, which necessitates a footrace to reach the right angle.

Due to the darkness of the environment in this mission, spotting Stone Eagles becomes more challenging. Players should focus on the shimmering effect of the Eagles rather than zooming in too closely, especially against the dim backdrop of Mission 5’s setting.

Stone Eagles in Mission 6

Mission 6 allows for easy marking of all three Stone Eagles right at the start, making it a great mission for players focused on collecting items. The environment is brightly lit, enhancing visibility compared to the previous mission.

Users can utilize their binoculars to mark the Eagles and then switch to their rifles for precision shots. For an added challenge, players may attempt to hit these targets with a pistol, benefiting from its zoom capabilities.

Stone Eagles in Mission 7

In Mission 7, “Lock, Stock, and Barrels, ” players will need to progress through the map to collect all the Stone Eagles. Those who’ve completed the game previously can also collect these on an Authentic run. The first Eagle is found atop the main building, accessible early in the mission.

The second Eagle sits on a windmill, alongside an enemy sniper. However, the third Eagle requires players to advance to the map’s final area, located on a chimney near an enemy tank. It’s advisable to collect all other items in Mission 7 before chasing down the last Stone Eagle.

Stone Eagles in Mission 8

In the final mission, players begin from an elevated point that provides a clear sight of all three Stone Eagles. The Eagle on the west side is positioned behind a chimney, making it challenging but possible to hit from the starting point.

The second Eagle is situated in front of a searchlight, while the final one lies between the first two, camouflaged against the background. Players may need to adjust on-screen brightness settings if they find it difficult to spot this last target.
