Report: Almost 900,000 Players Experience New Game Mode in GTA Online

GTA Online stands out as one of the most remarkable multiplayer experiences in recent times, and there’s a solid reason behind its success. Rockstar Games consistently introduces new features to keep players actively engaged. The latest addition is the Ludendorff Cemetery Survival game mode, which has garnered substantial attention. As reported by renowned insider Tez2 on October 13, 2024, nearly 900,000 players have already ventured into this mode.

This innovative gameplay revolves around survival against hordes of undead NPCs.

GTA Online’s New Game Mode Thrills Players with Over 1.7 Million Engagements

According to the above post on X, insider Tez2 emphasized that many players have shown enthusiasm for the new Ludendorff Cemetery Survival mode. Launched on October 10, 2024, as part of the second Halloween-themed update for GTA 5 this year, the mode has quickly gained traction. It’s worth noting that Rockstar’s double bonus rewards likely contributed significantly to heightened player interest in this new feature.

At the time of this report, participation numbers continue to rise impressively. Currently, the latest figures indicate that more than 1.7 million plays have been logged for this survival mode, doubling the count noted just two days prior.

On October 11, 2024, Tez2 had previously stated that over 400,000 players had sampled the new zombie game mode, positioning it as a notable hit compared to past new modes, such as Assault on ATT-16. The latest statistics reveal a staggering 270% increase in player participation with this new offering.

Further, the development team announced on October 12, 2024, that the North Yankton Nightmare Community Challenge had achieved a remarkable milestone, with more than 200 million zombies defeated. To further engage players, they established a new target of collectively eliminating 800 million zombies to unlock exclusive Green Glow and Purple Glow Skeleton Onesies.

The Grand Theft Auto Online community is already making significant strides toward this goal, with over 430 million zombies dispatched thus far.
