This arc transports viewers into the heart of the Infinity Castle—Muzan’s stronghold, where he and his demonic followers plot against humanity.

Within its formidable walls, a fierce battle is poised to unfold between the demon slayers and Muzan’s loyal minions. This arc promises to showcase Muzan Kibutsuji’s extraordinary power and highlight why the demon slayers face such formidable, high-ranking foes.

The story also emphasizes the resilience of elite demon slayers who will bravely confront these menacing demons, striving to safeguard humanity from utter destruction. Below, we present a ranked list of the demons featured in the claustrophobic and treacherous Infinity Castle.

This article contains spoilers from the Demon Slayer manga.

8 Tamayo

The Healer

Once afflicted by a terminal illness, Tamayo made a fateful decision when Muzan offered her eternal life. Tragically, her transformation into a demon came at the cost of her family, leaving her burdened with guilt.

Ever since that dark pact, her life’s pursuit has been to find a remedy for the curse that Muzan imposed on her. Thanks to her profound knowledge of science and demon anatomy, Tamayo’s blood demon art allows her to manipulate her victims, proving crucial in the ongoing battle against Muzan.

7 Kaigaku (Upper Rank 6)

The Corrupted Disciple

Once a promising student of the thunder hashira, Jigoro Kuwajima, and a tempestuously ambitious colleague of Zenitsu, Kaigaku made a series of choices driven by a thirst for power. Ultimately, this hunger led him to betray and murder his mentor.

Now transformed into a demon, Kaigaku’s blood demon art echoes Zenitsu’s thunder breathing but with a sinister twist. Their inevitable confrontation in the Infinity Castle not only represents a clash of might but also ideologies, as Zenitsu seeks justice for his mentor’s death.

6 Nakime (Upper Rank 4)

The Biwa Player

Nakime ingeniously orchestrates the Infinity Castle’s architecture through her biwa melodies. With this unique ability, she reshapes the castle layout at will, creating a labyrinthine trap for her enemies.

Her powers shine particularly when battling within the castle, as she can summon formidable demons like Kokushibo to ambush infiltrators. Nakime engages in combat against Obanai, the serpent hashira, and Mitsuri, the love hashira, making the fight exponentially challenging due to her control over the surroundings.

5 Risk Managers

Muzan’s Final Curse

Tanjiro, the protagonist, has a crucial role in the battles within the Infinity Castle. After an intense skirmish where Muzan emerges as the last surviving demon, the remaining demon slayers devise a plan to hold him at bay until dawn. In a desperate bid for survival, Muzan transfers his consciousness and blood into Tanjiro, transforming him into a demon—a grave irony for the dedicated slayer.

This tragic twist sets the stage for a gripping internal struggle within Tanjiro as he battles Muzan’s influence, leaving the surviving demon slayers with a heart-wrenching choice: eliminate Tanjiro to ensure Muzan’s demise.

4 Akaza (Upper Rank 3)

Strength Above All

Following the demise of the flame hashira Rengoku, Akaza’s fate becomes ever more imminent in the Infinity Castle. As we delve deeper into Akaza’s past, it becomes increasingly difficult not to empathize with him despite his dark nature.

Haunted by the loss of his loved ones, Akaza chose a path of destruction and chaos, ultimately becoming a loyal servant to Muzan. Yet, his past may not absolve him of his sins, as Tanjiro and Giyu are determined to seek vengeance for their fallen comrade.

Combining martial prowess with his destructive blood demon arts, Akaza stands as a daunting opponent, embodying the belief that only the strong deserve to survive—a principle that drives his every battle.

3 Home (Upper Rank 2)

The Leader Of The Cult Of Death

Doma is one character who evokes little sympathy, as his malevolent actions speak volumes. In stark contrast to other demons, he never mourned the loss of his parents and exhibits a shocking lack of empathy for human life.

As the head of the Eternal Paradise Faith cult, Doma finds pleasure in granting “salvation”through violence, consuming his followers. His blood demon art enables him to harness cryokinesis, generating ice from his very flesh, setting the stage for a memorable confrontation against Shinobu Kocho, Kanao, and Inosuke—all driven by vengeance.

2 Kokushibo (Upper Moon One)

The Man Who Chose Immortality

Kokushibo, the first of the Upper Moons, ranks just below Muzan as a formidable adversary. He is also the brother of Yoriichi Tsugikuni, history’s most legendary demon slayer. Once a demon slayer himself, Kokushibo feared mortal existence so comprehensively that he opted for vampirism.

This choice granted him unparalleled abilities—his swordsmanship and blood demon art heightened his moon breathing technique to unprecedented lethal levels. His ensuing battle against Gyomei, Sanemi, Tokito, and Genya will showcase the awe-inspiring might of Muzan’s second-in-command.

1.Muzan

The Demon King

As the conclusive battle nears, the demon slayers assemble to avenge their fallen master, Kagaya Ubuyashiki, and confront Muzan, the king of demons. With an astonishing seven hearts and five brains, his defeat appears almost insurmountable.

Muzan epitomizes the ultimate antagonist, and his presence will electrify the Infinity Castle arc, culminating in battles that promise to be some of the most exhilarating in the series. The surviving demon slayers must summon every ounce of strength, cunning, and sunlight to confront Muzan’s reign of terror.
