Highlights of Pokémon GO Tour: Unova
- Pokemon GO has introduced Adventure Effects for Black and White Kyurem during the Pokémon GO Tour.
- Players can utilize research fusions between Zekrom and Kyurem to enhance their catching experience.
- The global event for the Pokémon GO Tour: Unova is set for March 1-2, 2025, providing unique Adventure Effects to players.
Pokémon GO has unveiled new Adventure Effects tailored for Black and White Kyurem. This introduction aligns with the debut of the Unova Legendary Pokémon during the in-person segment of the Pokémon GO Tour—an annual celebration held in anticipation of Pokémon Day.
This year’s event revolves around the Unova region, the setting for Pokémon Black and White. From February 21 to 23, Niantic hosted trainers at in-person gatherings in New Taipei City, Taiwan, and Los Angeles. Here, players had the unprecedented opportunity to catch shiny Meloetta through a newly launched Masterwork Research quest. With the conclusion of these local events, attention now shifts toward the global aspect of the tour.
As highlighted by Niantic, players participating in the Pokémon GO Tour: Unova—Global will experience special Adventure Effects. By fusing Zekrom with a Kyurem possessing the Charged Attack Glaciate, trainers will create a Black Kyurem equipped with Charged Attack Freeze Shock. This fusion requires an investment of 5, 000 Stardust and 5 Kyurem Candy, and will activate an Adventure Effect where Black Kyurem emits electrically charged ice for 10 minutes, immobilizing wild Pokémon and simplifying their capture. Reversing the fusion will return Freeze Shock to its original Charged Attack, Glaciate.
Enhancing Gameplay: Black Kyurem and White Kyurem’s Adventure Effects
Additionally, players who fuse Zekrom with a Kyurem that already knows Charged Attack Glaciate can transform it into a White Kyurem equipped with Charged Attack Ice Burn. Activating this Adventure Effect also requires 5, 000 Stardust and 5 Kyurem Candy, allowing White Kyurem to unleash chilling energy for 10 minutes, slowing down the target ring during Pokémon encounters. This slowdown aids players in achieving excellent throws and successfully capturing new companions. Just as with Black Kyurem, reverting to the original state will change Ice Burn back to Glaciate.
Looking ahead, the global segment of the Pokémon GO Tour: Unova is scheduled for March 1-2, 2025. Players will benefit from the Adventure Effects associated with both Black and White Kyurem in their pursuit of new Pokémon. To enhance these effects further, gamers can acquire the Pokémon GO Tour: Unova Tour Pass, allowing them to increase effect durations based on milestone achievements: 1.5x (Tier 2), 2x (Tier 3), and 3x (Tier 4).Moreover, this pass unlocks various rewards, upgrades player rank, and improves event bonuses.
