Trainers can expect to encounter Rookidee starting January 21, 2025. There are multiple methods to add this Pokémon to your collection, including hatching it from eggs or completing special Research tasks. Additionally, Rookidee will have an increased spawn rate during events. Pokemon GO: How to Obtain Rookidee by Hatching Eggs
During specific events in Pokemon GO, trainers can obtain Rookidee by hatching 2 KM Eggs. The more 2 KM Eggs you hatch, the higher your chances of encountering Rookidee sooner. To collect these eggs, spin PokeStops regularly to build up your supply.
Pokemon GO: Obtain Rookidee by Completing Research Tasks
Special events offer Research tasks that provide encounters with Rookidee. By completing the Steeled Resolve Paid Timed Research tasks, trainers are guaranteed a Rookidee spawn.

Pokemon GO: Guide to Acquiring Shiny Rookidee
Currently, trainers will be disappointed to learn that Shiny Rookidee is not yet available in Pokemon GO. While the standard variant has been released, developers at Niantic have not introduced the Shiny form alongside it, as is often the case with newly launched Pokémon.
