The Adorned Diamond is a transformative Unique Jewel in Path of Exile 2, renowned for its remarkable ability to amplify the effects of certain Jewels within the Passive Skill Tree. When utilized strategically, it can significantly enhance a character’s core statistics, effectively doubling their potential benefits when compared to standard configurations.

Ranked among the most sought-after Uiques in the game, acquiring the Adorned Diamond poses a considerable challenge. Players generally must defeat top-tier bosses or engage in trading with others to obtain this coveted item. Below is a detailed guide on how players can secure their own Adorned Diamond.

How to Acquire the Adorned Diamond in PoE 2

The Adorned Diamond drops exclusively from the Trialmaster, the ultimate foe found in the Trial of Chaos in Path of Exile 2. To confront the Trialmaster, players must first complete a run of the Trial of Chaos using a Level 75-80 Inscribed Ultimatum (10 Trials). Successful unlocking of the final boss encounter requires players to insert Cowardly Fate, Deadly Fate, and Victorious Fate into the lock, thereby granting access to the arena for the showdown.

Upon defeating the Trialmaster, players will receive one of five Unique items:

  1. Glimpse of Chaos
  2. Mahuxotl’s Machination
  3. Hateforge
  4. Zerphi’s Genesis
  5. The Adorned Diamond

It’s important to note that the Trialmaster will always drop one of these five Unique items upon his defeat.

Obtaining Cowardly Fate, Deadly Fate, and Victorious Fate

The three essential Fates serve as keys to the Trialmaster’s boss arena and can be acquired through one of the following methods:

  1. One of the three Fates can be obtained as a drop from the final boss fight in the 10th room of the Trial of Chaos. The type of Fate received is random.
  2. Alternatively, players have the option to purchase any of the three Fates from the Currency Exchange by interacting with Alva in the Hideout, though the prices may vary.

Understanding the Functionality of the Adorned Diamond in PoE 2

The Adorned Diamond is characterized by a single stat: (0–100)% increased Effect of Jewel Socket Passive Skills containing Corrupted Magic Jewels. As the percentage increases, so do the benefits of the Jewel. At its peak of 100%, it doubles the impact of all corrupted Magic Jewels, offering unparalleled enhancements to character stats.

For instance, if a Magic Jewel provides ‘4% increased attack speed’, with a 100% Adorned enhancement, it would yield ‘8% increased attack speed’.This Jewel allows players to maximize the advantages derived from their Jewels, sometimes making it more beneficial to prioritize Jewel sockets over traditional passive skills on the Skill Tree.

However, a key limitation of the Adorned Diamond is that its effects are restricted to corrupted ‘Magic’ Jewels, defined by a blue outline and two modifiers. When corrupted via a Vaal Orb, these Jewels can gain a third modifier but remain classified as Magic Jewels. Notably, since the Adorned Diamond is itself a Unique Jewel, its effects do not enhance its own capabilities.

Additionally, Rare Jewels with 3-4 modifiers and other Unique Jewels (such as Against the Darkness or Megalomaniac) are unaffected by the Adorned Diamond’s bonuses, preserving game balance.

Finally, since the Adorned Diamond spawns as a corrupted item, players cannot reroll its modifiers using a Vaal Orb or Divine Orb.
