Palworld’s Upcoming Crossplay Feature: A Game-Changer for Players

Over a year has passed since Palworld made waves in the gaming community by quickly dominating the Xbox and PC charts. This innovative sandbox game, populated with a variety of unique creatures known as Pals, has continuously evolved thanks to regular content updates from developer Pocketpair. Additionally, the game is expanding its reach with new platform ports. However, one enhancement that the community has eagerly requested is the ability to play across different platforms, a feature that is on the verge of becoming a reality.

Exciting News: Crossplay to Launch in Late March

In a recent announcement via their official social media, the Palworld X account shared that a significant update is slated for late March, which will introduce crossplay across multiple platforms. The post confidently states: “Palworld’s Crossplay Update is coming in late March. Multiplayer across all platforms and world transfer for Pals.”

At present, the only cross-platform interaction permitted is between players on the Xbox Series X|S and those using Windows with the Microsoft Store (including PC Game Pass).Unfortunately, this means that players on Xbox Series X|S, Steam, PlayStation 5, and macOS have been unable to engage with one another in shared worlds.

More Than Just Crossplay: Additional Features Await

In response to a fan inquiry about whether the forthcoming update would include more than just crossplay, the official Twitter account reassured players that “the update will have some little surprises in it too.”This hints at the potential for exciting new content and enhancements, heightening anticipation among the gaming community.

Season of Celebrations: Discounts and Milestones

In celebration of the upcoming update, Palworld is currently enjoying discounted pricing on both Steam and PlayStation stores, with a 25% reduction from its standard price of $29.99. The sandbox title has recently achieved a remarkable milestone, surpassing 23 million players, signaling its popularity across various platforms. However, amid ongoing litigation with Nintendo, a Switch version seems unlikely in the near future.
