How to Obtain the Lord’s Overcoat in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
The first of the two Lord’s Overcoats can be secured during the Dragon’s Lair quest. Henry encounters the coat while battling Leopold, the Alchemist, who is the adversary in possession of this valuable item.
Initially, players will come across Leopold as he tries to intimidate Monk Slava. Be cautious: if a confrontation erupts here, Henry may inadvertently become branded a murderer, rendering it impossible to loot the coat from Leopold. The optimal strategy is to progress in the quest until you see Leopold a second time, shortly after unearthing the dragon bones.
When you do meet him, be sure to refuse Leopold’s and the mercenaries’ proposals. Engage in combat, then, when the fighting ceases temporarily, take a more aggressive stance. It’s crucial to eliminate all enemies, including Leopold himself, which can be a daunting task without the right potions and proper full plate armor. Once victorious, you can loot his body to claim the Lord’s Overcoat. This coat is notable as it is the only Quality 3 version found in the game.
The second Lord’s Overcoat, which is a Quality 2 version, can be obtained from an Alchemist located at the Rabstein Mill Ruins, situated just north of Old Lhota. This area is heavily guarded by mercenaries and is classified as a restricted zone. Additionally, within this locale resides a Strange Potion that grants a permanent hidden perk.
Securing this coat demands strategic preparation, as players must navigate through a fortified camp filled with adversaries. Although obtaining both versions of the Lord’s Overcoat presents considerable challenges, their superior defensive capabilities make the endeavor worthwhile. The Lord’s Overcoat provides an impressive 22 Blunt Defense, 11 Slash Defense, and 3 Piercing Defense, ensuring that Henry is well-protected during his journey.
