Kingdom Come: Deliverance II – A Challenging RPG Experience

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II presents a steep learning curve, despite some enhancements made over its predecessor. After a detailed introduction that covers the fundamental aspects of gameplay, players are largely left to navigate the expansive world through trial and error. This self-directed approach can be daunting, especially for beginners, as the protagonist Henry starts with limited skills and basic equipment that offers little assistance in battles. However, players can embark on a key quest that provides a significant advantage in the early stages of the game.

Executing the Wedding Crashers Quest

To initiate the main quest titled “Wedding Crashers, ”you must first part ways with Hans in Troskowitz. At this juncture, players have two distinct paths: seeking assistance from the blacksmith Radovan or the miller Kreyzl. For those unfamiliar with the game mechanics, consulting Radovan is advisable for several compelling reasons.

After arriving in Tachov, located north of Troskowitz, and engaging with Radovan, you will acquire valuable crafting skills. This newfound knowledge not only allows you to earn Groschen—which are crucial for purchasing essentials like food—but it also ensures you avoid squandering your resources on weaponry and armor at this early stage. Good fortune awaits, as ample opportunities to gather free gear will present themselves shortly.

Unlocking Additional Quests and Resources

Upon completing the tutorial in blacksmithing, you’ll enjoy the benefits of a free resting place, enabling you to heal and save your progress without using Saviour Schnapps. Moreover, you will gain access to an additional quest known as “The Jaunt.”In this mission, Henry will accompany the lord of Semine and Sir Gnarly in their pursuit of a lost cart.

Reuniting with Pebbles and Preparing for Battle

Before setting off on your adventure with the lord and Sir Gnarly, make your way to the stables to reclaim Pebbles, Henry’s trusty steed. If fortune favors you and you pass a skill check, this reunion may come at no cost. Alternatively, acquiring Pebbles might require a minimal payment, or you could attempt to “acquire”another horse and register it with the Horse Handler at the Nomad Camp to the east of Semine—though you’ll need some Groschen for this as well. If you decide to steal, it might be wiser to take a superior horse initially, planning to return for Pebbles later when funds are more available.

While the quest can be tackled without a horse, if you find yourself unable to reclaim Pebbles, don’t hesitate to press on. During your journey, Henry and his companions will confront a group of bandits. If you’re not confident in your combat abilities yet, consider playing it safe by keeping your distance and using a crossbow to eliminate threats from afar. Once the enemies are defeated, looting their remains may yield weapons and equipment that significantly bolster your early game experience.

This combination of strategic decision-making and resource management is key to succeeding in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, setting the stage for a thrilling adventure filled with exploration and combat.
