Before diving into The Italian Job quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, it is crucial to complete any lingering side quests and tasks. This pivotal quest marks the onset of a point of no return in the game’s storyline.

The mission revolves around Henry and his allies as they attempt to infiltrate the Italian Court and seize silver from Sigismund and his forces. The underlying strategy is to undermine Sigismund’s army by depriving them of their funds—without silver, their strength would wane, at least in theory.

Entering the Italian Court

To kick off The Italian Job quest, initiate a conversation with Godwin and express your readiness to depart. This interaction will lead to a meeting involving Henry, Godwin, and their companions, where they discuss their plans in Kuttenberg.

As players, you’ll assume the role of Godwin during this segment, with your decisions potentially impacting Henry’s actions in the quest that follows. Accompany Henry throughout Kuttenberg until you reach the entrance of the Italian Court, where you will engage with Jerome Naaz.

Continue following Jerome until you arrive inside the main council building, where events will unfold.

Attending the Council

Your primary objective during this council meeting is to gather information from the members present. Start by consuming some wine from the jug, which will enhance Godwin’s Italian language skills—an essential factor for successful conversations.

Neglecting to drink the wine may result in a loss of reputation for Godwin and potential discovery.

Once fortified by the wine, approach Andrew Polsner first, and make sure to exhaust all dialogue options to trigger the optional objective of summoning guards to the council. While optional, completing this task simplifies Henry’s subsequent challenges.

Summon the guards by engaging Jerome Naaz with the “Discuss the Guards”option. After fulfilling this, converse with remaining council members including Musa, Albich of Uniczow, Father Peter, Father Konrad, and Father Anthony, ensuring you exhaust all their lines of dialogue.

Be cautious not to admit to Albich that you don’t recognize him. Doing so may lead to accusations of deceit, resulting in failure.

After engaging with all council members, approach Janosh and inform him you are prepared to present the speech. For a favorable outcome, consider aligning with Musa during the resolution to ensure the council leaves content.

Capturing the Italian Court

Transitioning into the next objective as Henry, you are tasked with managing the guards stationed in the courtyard. Thanks to Godwin’s previous efforts, some guards have already been driven away.

Here, you can opt for direct confrontation or stealthily eliminate the guards one at a time. My recommendation is to engage them head-on to avoid an unnecessarily lengthy stealth sequence, especially since there are only six to defeat, positioned throughout the area.

Proceed to eliminate the three guards on one side first, followed by those on the opposite side, or tackle them in the reverse order.

Locating Adder

In the courtyard, converse with Hans, who will indicate the need to locate Adder. However, he has opted for a romantic rendezvous with the lady cook, causing a delay in his plans.They can be found in the kitchen, as depicted in the associated image.

Upon interrupting their encounter, the cook’s husband arrives, prompting potential conflict. You have two pathways: you can challenge the husband outright, or you may attempt to resolve the situation amicably. Be warned—if your dialogue fails, you’ll face a duel against the husband and his companion in the courtyard, which is relatively manageable.

Acquiring the Silver

After discussing the predicament with Adder, who is understandably upset about the interruption, he’ll suggest heading to the underground tunnel connected to Ruthard’s Palace. Follow Adder into the cellar and take a right after descending the stairs. Be sure to approach the correct wall next to a group of barrels and select “Explore.”

This action initiates a cutscene where Henry and his companions break through the wall, gaining access to the underground tunnel.

In the next sequence, Zizka, Henry, and Dry Devil are seen entering the council, taking control. Godwin expresses relief as they reach the cellar filled with silver to begin the heist.

Rescuing the Captives

Near your allies as they begin moving silver, locate a spiral staircase that ascends to the upper levels. Ascend the staircase and defeat the guards in your path. Once they are defeated, search the corpse marked “Csaba Molnar”to acquire the prison key.

Utilize the prison key to unlock the captive’s door. This results in a poignant cutscene featuring dialogue between Godwin and his father, who acknowledges having misunderstood him, indicating a healing relationship.

Approach Zizka at the gate and indicate your willingness to stand guard. A cutscene will then unfold, showcasing enemy soldiers approaching the gates.

Battling Erik’s Soldiers

The concluding objective of The Italian Job quest involves defeating Erik’s soldiers. There is no requirement to eliminate every soldier, but a certain number must be dispatched to fulfill the mission. In my playthrough, I found it necessary to defeat around ten soldiers before triggering the next cutscene.

This cutscene reveals a standoff between Erik and Henry’s forces, culminating in the timely intervention of the Dry Devil armed with a hand cannon. Everyone quickly retreats into the underground tunnel to escape the besieged fortress.

Emerging from the tunnel, the shocking revelation of Brabant’s betrayal unfolds, leading to Adder’s death. Brabant then sends his men to ambush you and your allies.Defeating all of Brabant’s men will conclude the quest.
