The Invaders quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can be initiated in two different ways, both of which involve the innkeeper, Betty. To embark on this quest, players should engage with Betty after a tavern fight involving Cumans. If approached during that specific encounter, players will dive right into the quest. Conversely, if they speak to her after some time has passed, she will merely recount the events concerning the Cumans, leading the player to Vuytek to continue the story.

Notably, both initiation methods lead to the same quest experience, with minor differences regarding reputation points with Vuytek and the Cumans. However, these variances do not significantly affect the overall outcome of the quest.

Initiating the Invaders Quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

When beginning the quest during the Cumans’ tavern visit, Betty will instruct Henry to serve them. Vuytek’s subsequent provocations toward the Cumans can be defused by selecting the following dialogue options:

  • Good appetite!
  • Everyone calm down.
  • You’d better leave.
  • Leave them alone.

It’s essential to avoid fatal blows during the resulting fight with Vuytek. Once the scuffle concludes, he will task you with handling the Cumans.

If the quest is acquired later or after refusing to serve the Cumans initially, it will commence post-tavern events. In this scenario, Henry will address Vuytek and be commanded to ensure the Cumans never return to Troskowitz. Thus, maintaining good relations with the Cumans is advantageous.

Exploring the Cumans’ Camp During the Invaders Quest

Head to the Cumans’ camp situated northwest of the Nomad camp. Players can refer to the map above to locate it directly, eliminating the need for directions.

Prior to venturing forth, note that there is an optional side quest requiring a charisma level of 20 or higher. Elevate Henry’s charisma by donning superior clothing to maximize your reputation gains during this mission.

Upon arrival at the Cumans’ camp, converse with Vasko and engage in drinking. If you wish to pursue the side mission, respond affirmatively with “Maybe I could help.” when Vasko speaks about Jasak’s affection for a nomad girl.

Assisting Jasak in the Invaders Quest (Optional)

Agreeing to assist Jasak will lead you to the nomad camp, where you should converse with the girl he loves. Choosing the right dialogue options is crucial for a favorable outcome; ascertain your charisma is at least 20 to succeed:

  • I’m a friend of Jasak.
  • We’re not!
  • He says you’re beautiful.
  • He says he dreams about you.
  • You should give him a chance.

After your discussion with the girl, a nomad will obstruct your path. To conclude on a positive note, respond with “It was nothing.” This will successfully wrap up the optional side quest.

Enjoying Drinks with Vasko During the Invaders Quest

Return to the Cumans’ camp and engage with Vasko again for another round of drinks. He will request that you accompany Jasak to fetch more wine. As you follow him, join in song; when Jasak tumbles, take a moment to speak with the black dog you encounter on your way. Proceed along the path to activate a prompt directing you to a chest. Your dialogue with the dog is inconsequential; however, be mindful to only open the chest for the wine and refrain from disturbing the other contents.

Consult your map to find your way back to the Cumans’ camp, where you should present the wine to Vasko. If he inquires what makes you stand out, confidently state you are simply the best. Should he challenge you to a swim, accept, and move through the pond to return to camp.

This segment brings the key events of the quest into play. Engage with Vasko, ensuring to choose options like “Let’s talk about something else” or “Let’s change the topic” to steer the conversation toward Troskowitz. If Henry happens to vomit on Vasko’s shoes, quickly apologize by saying “I’m sorry, I’ll clean it up.” This will prompt Vasko to agree not to return to Troskowitz.

As the quest nears its conclusion, Henry will awaken with a hangover. Wait several hours for recovery, then teleport to Troskowitz to update Vuytek. Inform him about your arrangement with the Cumans. If he contests your decision, assert with “They won’t cause any more trouble, trust me.” However, do remember this assertion is only effective with a charisma of 10 or above.

Alternative Strategies for Managing the Cumans During the Invaders Quest

For players who prefer a more aggressive approach, eliminating the Cumans at their camp is an option. Report back to Vuytek to complete the quest. However, this strategy presents significant challenges, as the Cumans are formidable adversaries. Beware, this tactic may result in a reputation loss—even with Vuytek himself.
