InZOI has emerged as a prominent competitor in the sandbox and simulation genre, rivaling the beloved The Sims series. This game is designed for those who relish the freedom to craft their virtual existence, allowing players to shape the lives of every character in their ZOI family.
In a dynamic game like InZOI, the potential for redundancy is real. Players might yearn for a fresh face in their family setup, whether that means introducing a new character or swapping out an existing one. To achieve the family configuration you envision, let’s delve into the steps needed to edit your family within the game.
How to Create a Family in InZOI
The journey begins with establishing a family in InZOI. Start by selecting ‘New Game’ from the main menu, which will direct you to the ZOI creation interface.
Once your initial ZOI is created, you’ll access the family tree screen. Here, options will appear: select ‘Add Family Member’ to expand your household or choose ‘Create Family’ to finalize your configuration. Remember, you can have a family consisting of up to eight members.
After you’ve assembled your family, you can relocate them into a home and embark on their virtual lives.
Adding More Family Members
Once your family is established, you can introduce additional members via the city map. To access the map, select ‘Continue’ on the main menu. While playing, simply press the ‘M’ key to open this feature.
From the map, choose a family, and a menu will display the ‘Add Family Member’ option. This is where you can expand your household, but keep in mind the limit of eight members per family remains unchanged.
Relocating Family Members
What if you’re ready to part ways with a particular family member? Whether they’re clashing with the family dynamics or you’ve simply lost interest, you can relocate them to another household. This is accomplished through the ‘Move Zois Between Families’ option.
Access this feature by pressing the ‘M’ key during gameplay, which will take you to the city menu. Then, click on the ‘All Families’ button located in the top left corner. Here, all available families will be listed for you to modify.
Select the ‘Move Zois Between Families’ option to choose a ZOI you want to transfer. After doing so, select the new family you wish to move them to.
Once you’ve confirmed the selection, you’ll see a menu containing all family members from both households. Here, you can choose the member you’d like to transfer and select the corresponding arrow to indicate their new family. Confirm the transition by pressing the ‘Okay’ button.
Removing a Family Member
If the need arises to permanently remove a family member from your game, it’s worth noting that there is no straightforward deletion option. Instead, you must resort to causing their demise through various unfortunate events, including electrocution, fire, or hunger.
Alternatively, if you need to eliminate an entire family, you can do so through the All Families menu on the city map. Here, simply click the trashcan icon in the upper right corner to access a list of families in your city.
After selecting the families you wish to delete, confirm your actions by pressing the checkmark button. Keep in mind that this process is irreversible and will result in the loss of the entire family, not just one member.
This functionality should be utilized judiciously, ensuring that the decision to delete a family is deliberate.
