Recently, a leak pertaining to Infinity Nikki unveiled a matching makeup set for the Moonlight Oath, a notable outfit that sparked considerable debate due to its high cost. Despite Infinity Nikki’s established reputation for player-friendliness, the game faced backlash upon its initial launch. When version 1.0 was released, it enjoyed widespread acclaim, elevating the Nikki franchise; however, players were reluctant to spend significant sums on cosmetics.

During the early days of the game, the inaugural 4-Star ensembles, Scaly Dream and Moonlight Oath, were unveiled, allowing players to obtain them for a limited period. While Scaly Dream launched with a substantial discount in December 2024, Moonlight Oath was offered at its full original price of 2, 980 Stellarites. Considering that players could progress through much of the game with free outfits, many in the community deemed the total cost of 5, 960 Stellarites for the Moonlight Oath’s full set as unjustifiably high. This meant that to acquire both outfits, players would have to purchase a Stellarite pack costing $49.99.

Currently, the Moonlight Oath outfit is no longer available in the Stellarite shop. However, recent leaks from Specialist-Shock-997 reveal the previously beta-exclusive matching makeup set. While this item was part of the beta testing, it was not included in the initial outfit bundle in version 1.0. Since gacha games typically avoid discarding completed assets, there remains optimism that the makeup set could make a return in an upcoming update.

Is a Return of Moonlight Oath Likely?

It is likely that the Moonlight Oath outfit will reemerge in the Stellarite store, as seasonal items in Infinity Nikki are designed to rotate with each update. However, the matching makeup set may surface through different means. Considering that Infinity Nikki has introduced features like Heartfelt Gifts, it wouldn’t be surprising if the developers offered the Moonlight Oath makeup set free to players. If this occurs, the set might debut through the Deep Echoes mechanic, which showcases makeup and accessories not always tied directly to a gacha outfit.

Reflecting on its evolution, Infinity Nikki seems to have shifted focus away from pricey cosmetic items such as Moonlight Oath, opting instead for more affordable 3-Star sets and complimentary outfits offered through Heartfelt Gifts. This strategic pivot has resonated well with players since version 1.2, fostering a hope that the development team will maintain this favorable trajectory. As for future updates, version 1.3 is anticipated to unveil its next set of banners shortly, with version 1.4 scheduled to roll out on March 25.
