How To Get Rough Ruby
Rough Ruby can only be located within the Dry Valley Caves. These caves are scattered throughout the Dry Valley biome and will become visible on your map as you approach. Before entering, it’s advisable to equip an Uncommon or superior Cool-Headed Charm to prevent overheating.
Once inside, players should actively search for Ruby nodes, identifiable by their striking red hue. To harvest these, a Rare Pickaxe or higher is required. Mining these nodes yields Rough Ruby, which players can subsequently refine into Cut Ruby.
How To Get Cut Ruby
Players experienced in gem hunting likely know that converting Rough Rubies into their polished forms requires a Gem Cutter. If you haven’t built this yet, you can do so using the Build Menu by gathering the following materials:
- 20 Metal Plates
- 15 Bright Cores
- 5 Blast Cores
- 3 Brute Scales

Additionally, Cut Rubies are vital for crafting various essential items, including Gem Shields, Gem Flint-Knocks, and Gem Muskets. Notably, they’re crucial for creating Star Wars-inspired weapons like the DL-44 and E-11 Blasters, crafted at the Rebel Workbench.
Creating Storage
Cut Rubies also facilitate the construction of Ruby Chests, which are excellent storage solutions. To build a Ruby Chest, players need just 4 Cut Rubies and 2 Metal Plates. Each chest can hold up to 28 separate stacks of items, making it a highly efficient storage option.
Building The Legendary Forge
