In Monster Hunter Wilds, gathering materials for crafting powerful armor and weapons extends beyond repeatedly hunting monsters. Achieving the strongest gear necessitates a thorough search of the environment for resources like Icium. One of the primary methods to acquire this essential material is through mining.
The good news is that Icium is relatively abundant and can be collected quickly once you identify the right Mining Nodes. These nodes are marked by blue icons on your map, and you can conveniently ride your Seikret to reach them, enabling you to promptly use your pickaxe for mining.
Locating Icium in Monster Hunter Wilds
Icium can be found by mining at specific locations across the game world. Although we cannot confirm every spawn point for this resource, it is predominantly located in the Iceshard Cliffs region. Based on extensive exploration, we’ve identified reliable spots for collecting Icium:
- Iceshard Cliffs Area 20
- Iceshard Cliffs Area 18
- Iceshard Cliffs Area 8
To extract resources from the Mining Nodes, simply approach them and press ‘B’ to initiate mining. You can gather materials from a single node up to three times before it becomes depleted. After depleting a node, a short cooldown period will occur before you can return to mine it again.
