Today, the studio officially announced the title of the upcoming project: 007 First Light. The game will be featured in an exclusive showcase, marking the inaugural IOI Showcase event. Scheduled for June 6 at 6 PM PDT, the showcase will be streamed live on the studio’s YouTube channel.

In addition to insights about 007 First Light, attendees can look forward to fresh content reveals for Hitman World of Assassination, alongside the IO Interactive-published title, MindsEye, developed by Build a Rocket Boy. The game is expected to explore the origins of James Bond as an MI6 special agent, drawing inspiration from Ian Fleming’s novels and the cinematic legacy of the character. Although no gameplay footage has been released yet, IO Interactive’s CEO, Hakan Abrak, expressed hopes that the game will achieve great success and potentially pave the way for a trilogy.“I don’t want to speak too big about it, but I just hope we’ll do a thing that will define James Bond in gaming for years to come, ” Abrak shared last year, envisioning a gaming universe that evolves alongside the cinematic Bond.

Platforms and Availability

Currently, it has been confirmed that 007 First Light will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch 2. While additional platform details have yet to be disclosed, it is anticipated that the game will also be available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5, similar to IO Interactive’s existing titles.
