Among the key changes in Update 01.002.101, the duration of gas effects from spray weapons has been extended from 6 seconds to 10 seconds, and timers have been implemented for the despawning of Illuminate dropship wreckages, improving navigability in missions. Noteworthy fixes have also been made to stratagems, particularly to the TX-41 Sterilizer support weapon, which has experienced a reduction in crosshair drift recoil and camera climb recoil. Responding to community feedback, Arrowhead will not correct a bug that erroneously increased ammo for all magazine-based weapons, with plans for a future update expected to clarify this in the Armory descriptions. Additionally, significant updates to the backpack mechanics enhance its overall functionality, affecting target logic and gas status effects. Other stratagems have been optimized for performance, witnessing reduced cooldowns and heightened damage.
The patch also addresses several mechanical issues, including the failure of Illuminate ship shields to withstand grenade damage and health kits not fully restoring health. A variety of crashes have been resolved, particularly those occurring during mission alterations and when switching emotes, alongside improvements to matchmaking algorithms to ensure more regionally aligned players are paired together.
