Overview

  • With over 90 characters available in Genshin Impact, maintaining a balanced banner schedule has become challenging, causing significant gaps for certain characters.
  • Popular characters like Kokomi are eagerly awaiting their reruns, highlighting issues with current banner rotations.
  • The lack of reruns for Inazuma characters suggests the potential for a dedicated Inazuma Chronicled Banner in future updates.

Recent data has shed light on which Genshin Impact figures are most overdue for reruns. As the roster of playable characters expands to over 90, developers face difficulties in developing a fair banner schedule. Consequently, certain 5-Star characters, especially those with niche roles, have been left out for extended periods. For instance, Cryo characters Shenhe and Ganyu recently experienced a lengthy absence, with over 550 days elapsing since their last appearance on banners.

Following their long wait, both Ganyu and Shenhe have finally returned via the Chronicled Banner. However, the player community is increasingly calling for the implementation of Triple Banners. This demand arises partly from the unpredictable nature of the Chronicled Banner, which currently lacks the Capturing Radiance mechanic introduced in Version 5.0 for Event Banners. New adjustments to the Weapon Banner further complicate the efficiency of acquiring desired 5-Star characters or weapons through the Chronicled option.

Waiting List for 5-Star Characters in Version 5.4

[5.4] 5-star waiting list by u/RapidFresh in Genshin_Impact

Character Days Since Last Banner Appearance Kokomi 14 Winds 12 Cyno 11 Ayato 11 Ayaka 10 Yoimiya 10 Xianyun 9 Yae Miko 9 It is 8 Albedo 8 Eula 8 Klee 8 Wanderer 7 Alhaitham 6 Ship 5 Nilou 5 Emilie 5 Yelan 5 Mualani 4 Kazuha 4 Kinich 4 Raiden 4 In Xilon 3 Chiori 3 Nahida 3 Hu Tao 3 Click 2 Lyney 2 Neuvillette 2 Zhongli 2 Water 1 Citlali 1 Harlequin 1 Clorinde 1 Shenhe 1 Hire 1 Tartaglia 1 Xiao 1 Baizhu 1 Mizuki 0 profits 0 Wriothesley 0 Furina 0

An intriguing observation from this waiting list is the apparent exclusion of Inazuma characters from reruns. Notably, characters like Kokomi, Ayato, Ayaka, Yoimiya, Yae Miko, and Itto are all poised for potential inclusion in a future Inazuma Chronicled Banner, along with the new addition of Mizuki by Version 5.6. Although developers have yet to officially announce a third Chronicled Banner, introducing these characters regularly in upcoming updates would address significant player concerns regarding the current banner system.

In the context of Genshin Impact, while Cryo 5-Stars have faced notable banner droughts, Wriothesley is expected to return to the Event Banners with Version 5.4. While details about the Event Banners for Version 5.5 remain scarce, speculation suggests that Varesa may join as a new 5-Star character. With Venti likely occupying one banner slot for the Archon rerun, two slots will remain open for additional 5-Stars. Version 5.4 is scheduled for release on February 12, 2025.
